Beau.
I open my eyes to the sounds of birds chirping outside my window. Slowly I stretch out the sleep out of my eyes and look around the room. Alanis is not here, he was beside me when I closed my eyes. The sky is still dark which makes me check the clock by my bedside table.
It is 5 o'clock in the morning.
I stand up from the bed in search of Lanis. He said he was going to stand guard. He and his brothers. Our enemies are the vampires but they are also my saviours. This whole ordeal has made me appreciate what I don't understand. I was so closed-minded before Alanis became my mate. Now I see things clearly. The vampires are not the bad guys. People in general are bad. You can't judge everyone based on some people.
I don't judge the vampires anymore.
I have no right to.
