"Magnificent! You are doing well Ms. Dairia as expected..." Tetuclise stared with a wide smile at Dairia, already expecting this kind of performance from her.
"You're next." Rizu walked to his side and started to gather Giryotes in his hand without the teachers instructions.
"Now take it easy, you're forcing it. Just let them flow through you." Rizu with his eyes closed had a hard time harnessing the Giryotes but the gentle reminder of the teacher changed his thoughts and immediately his focus strengthened making the Giryotes flow steadily into his hand.
"Good, good just keep maintaining it and before you release it, relax your mind and let them go." Rizu followed the teachers steps and released the Giryotes in his hand.
"Release" Rizu muttered and the same blue energy he gathered previously scattered into the air. Rizu opened his eyes and had a wide smile on his face. Students seeing two successive tries for the first time was eager to do it too, they all had good expectations on their faces as they attempted to gather Giryotes though some had a hard time. The teacher came into their aid while whispering them the steps. The class carried on like that until it was my turn. I wasn't really looking forward to this but okay.
"Now gather Giryotes in your hand, remember to let them in." With his permission I started gathering the Giryotes presently in the air, it was quite a process like how you would feel a rain drop gathers in your hand. I did it but how I gathered Giryotes was technically inefficient. The teacher aided in my attempt and repeated the same instructions he used with the other.
"Absorb and Release. like breathing air but with extra steps." I tried to let the Giryotes flow through me however...
"Stop! You are absorbing too much." Tetuclise yelled at me but I didn't have enough control. So without wasting a blink he directly fist palmed me at my solar plexus, it didn't hurt but it made me gasp. He moved closer and inspected my hand before absorbing the Giryotes that is flowing through it. He offered me a hand and I gladly accepted though I still had to catch my breath.
"You can still try again, come on." I tried again but with every failed attempt I had, my frown became more pronounce.
"Teacher do you know what's wrong with me? I'm the only one that failed in your class..." It pained me to think that maybe I wasn't talented enough. That maybe I wasn't suited to be a supernatural user.
"It's alright, there's a simple answer for your problem but I'll tell you a story to summarize it all. A story about the first supernatural user in history. Students! listen to me!" The students stop what they were doing and looked eagerly at him. He cleared his throat and prepared to speak.
"To be honest Giryotes though how little they are in our naked eyes...are sentient. Having a collective mind they sought neutrality in the beginning, only existing to be like the air untouched and carefree on the land. Yet with the arrival of the first supernatural user he tried to harness them, he didn't know about the Giryotes but he felt that they were there and tried to communicate."
"He was labeled a madman by his clan and exiled him due to his weird actions of talking to the air, clenching his fist up high and sitting for long hours bathing in every light he could find. Until one day, the Giryotes accepted him and because of that he can now harness them little by little, until finally he mastered it. It was just the beginning but I think you get the gist of it."
"He with his new attained powers moved and became the first ever supernatural user of life force taking the lands by storm and creating the land we have now, The Land of the Shining One. though the land of the shining one was a temporary name and was later replace with Grandia Lands." The students listening was all fascinated about the story, and there was me speculating how this story would help me.
"So the lesson in the story is that if Giryotes doesn't follow or listen to you, then you should just keep on trying, and maybe someday you'll get use to it.
"If that's the case I wonder how I would improve my control on Giryotes, if I do what I think is right then that means I need to train it everyday so that it would improve?" I furrowed my eyebrows, contemplating how I would go through this however I was interrupted.
"Well, I guess time's up! See you next time again kids." Tetuclise without a care left the room with his books. The students scattered away and proceeded to go to the next class while Rizu and Dairia looked at me strangely.
"Hey you okay? It's alright that just means you have to work harder than before!" Rizu looked at me with a wry smile on his face.
"As I expected you are weak. Hmmp!" Dairia said as she loitered around and spoke her piece. I mean why wait for me? You can always walk out...
"I guess I'm really weak huh..." I just shrugged both of them off and decided to go to the next class. First class was about the basics of supernatural forces, second was about how to control it now what about the third? I guess I'll find out soon...
Somebody was calling me out but my mind was filled with questions on how to harness giryotes and improve it.
Arriving at the third class, at room 27. Rizu suddenly appeared right in front of me, Dairia followed him but gave a little distance.
"Hey! stop ignoring us Virule!" I didn't know what to say.
"Why not?" I didn't know their problem.
"You can't! You're my friend!"
"I can and I will." I snorted at them.
"Why?" He asked, I looked him straight in the eyes and told him.
"Dude, you just sold me out to a girl the instant she showed you her belets, I can't see a reason to be your friend now." I was angry, though I knew this was just my impulsive thoughts acting.
"But it was for the money...I need that for my goal...you know." Rizu was frowning as he told his reasons with his eyebrows squish together. He could only shook his head when he finally notice his wording was wrong.
"I don't really care about the money thing, just don't sell your friends out okay? And you too the girl there" I fiercely said before turning to Dairia.
"I don't care if you're royalty or not just don't use people for your pettiness." I snorted at them and walked away.
"Hmmp! Let's just go...we don't need him..." Dairia with teary eyes bit her lips. Angrily stomping the floor before walking away from me. Rizu was hesitant, his eyes shaking around but he soon followed Dairia. I could only sigh at my impulsive actions.
Arriving on the next class I seated myself through the back and thought about what I did wrong.
"Does having an otherworldly soul affect me from gathering Giryotes? if yes, then why? And I also noticed that my control was scattered around as if I couldn't get the Giryotes to inhabit my hand like the others would, and also why did I just lectured a bunch of children that didn't know what they were doing? I'm not their parents yet I was triggered enough that I'd get angry at them. Was the small betrayal and petty-mindedness that much of an issue for me?"
I snapped back to my thoughts when the teacher arrived at our class. The class was located at the grounds which was a large span of dirt. The middle area which though had a smoothened white rock thay is used for combat class. There was a few students loitering around so it wasn't that empty much.
"Hello everyone I'm your teacher at Physical Education, I am Ms. Katerina Huberdam. It is nice to meet you younglings!" The first thing I've noticed about her appearance was her eyes, they were sparkling blue, her hair color was purple. She was wearing a unique kind of uniform, that appreciated the shape of her body making the boys in the room infatuated to her, that included Rizu.
"Remember that this is not combat education, so I need you all to be behave and listen well to what I say, is that alright!?" She beckoned all the students with her fingers.
"Yes Ms. Katerina!" The boys voices were loud while the girls just agreed and some were jealous.
"Alright I need you all to do some warm-ups! so follow after me!"
"Yes Ms. Katerina!" The class started with the warm-ups and then proceeded to doing other physical activities like sprinting and push-ups. And before we knew it the class was over. We were all huffing and puffing but it wasn't that much that we would collapse.
"Now that was a nice workout! I expect all of you to train like this everyday so that your body would get toned and fit when you graduate your first year. because 2nd year is all about combat so don't be lazy! You are all a generation that will help our land prosper! that's all and I've got to get going now. Bye bye!"
We still had one class we were supposed to go to but I thought that we should changed our uniforms, funnily to think that they didn't give us a training uniforms however I soon became realized the reason as I noticed that the sweat I accumulated on my body was gone. The uniform probably had a cleaning function, cool...
