As soon as Kalliope entered the library hall along with the other three students, the librarian who had been putting the books away emerged from behind the bookshelf. "As usual, you may sign your name and the time of visit on the book before looking around," said the middle-aged woman as she waved her hand to unlock the giant book with roots-covered front. It slammed open by itself and flipped through the pages and stopped at the last one.
"And one last thing," the librarian lowered her head and warned them solemnly from the upper gap of her eyeglasses. "Mind your manners. I do not wish to hear any noise besides the flipping of pages and the scratching of quill."
"Don't worry, Ms. Coral. We'll make sure to keep the peace," Vittoria promised the middle-aged woman with an obedient smile on her face. However, Ms. Coral, the librarian only gave her a cold snort, then corrected her glasses before pushing the cart full of books towards another aisle.
