Sheila Belmonte's POV
I have followed my husband as I did not know where we were/ I thought I have seen this forest before but maybe it was my mind trying to play a trick on me. We have camped out in the forest that was far out from the perimeter of the coast.
"Here, this will warm you up," Noah said as he was handing me a cup of tea and I took it. I thanked him as I was sipping on it. It was good. I don't know how he does it from scratch. We sat for a moment before I cleared my throat as Noah was staring at the fire that we were sitting in front of.
"How about the other guy? Will he be joining us later?" I asked him as he was still focusing on the fire. Then, he sighed.
"I'm not sure but I can assure you Aaron will be alive and even if he doesn't…" he said as he was gulping. I saw that look once before. It was on my parents' faces. If they were my parents.
"I have a question if you don't mind I'm asking," I said as I turned to look at Noah. He turned to look at me before nodding his head. I cleared my throat as I was dreading to ask this. I think I was ready but I don't think I was emotionally ready for anything after all.
"Is there an event, one moment in our lives, that I accidentally set the forest on fire?" I asked him quietly as I was afraid that he would burst out. But I was surprised to see that Noah was sighing.
What was that supposed to mean?
"So, the memory returned to you after all," he said quietly before I was looking at him. Memory? What was that mean? Am I amnesic before this?
"Care to explain, husband?" I said as I was glaring at him now. He chuckled lowly before he was looking at the forest.
"The forest that you were setting fire upon was not far from here, I would say the north of where we are right now," he spoke as if he knows these forests well. Maybe he was, I don't know.
"Then, what happened?" I asked him as I wanted to know everything that my dream was supposed to be a memory that I lost.
"It was one night of where all the common folks come to the feast. You were amazed by them that you wanted to look for yourself. And so, you went. But there was one crucial thing that I forgot to tell you," he said as he was looking at me. I gulped before I braved myself enough to ask him.
"What is it? Tell me," I said as he closed his eyes before he sighed.
"You're affected with a virus that we, Aaron and I, have as well,"
"What virus? Can you not speak in riddles," I said as I felt that my fury was getting the best of me now. I can sense that my fire was burning slowly inside me, ready to be unleashed.
"You're blue blood," he stated before I was blinking at him, not knowing what the hell was that supposed to mean.
"What the hell was blue blood?" I asked him as I was getting up from my seat before I was pacing back and forth in front of him.
"Blue blood was a state where you were not a vampire yet you have the strength and speed of immortal. It was in between of those states that gave us the power to look young and sometimes, powerful blue blood can control elements," he explained. My eyebrows arched.
"Elements? As in water, earth, fire, and air?" I asked Noah as he nodded at me.
"So, the common blue blood felt threatened by those powers which means the most powerful blue blood must go into hiding. But you were exposed that day by the Huntress," he explained as I was trying to remember who the hell was Huntress.
Then it hit me.
"It was that woman, that fought with Aaron, right?" I asked as he nodded grimly.
"Unfortunately, yes. That is her and it seems that she was the strongest vampire hunter in the world right now," he explained again as I stared at him.
"Vampire hunters? I thought we were not vampires. you said we were blue blood!'' I exclaimed before Noah was standing and coming at me.
"No! Don't touch me," I said as I was running away from the campsite. I don't think I can be in his presence anymore.
"Sheila!" Noah called.
"Just leave me alone, I said before Noah materialized in front of me. I gasped before he gripped my arms.
"You're burning. It was not safe for you to let your emotions get the best of you, Sheila. Control it, my love," he spoke to me as I felt something was dying to burn inside me.
'Yes, let it out. You are not to be contained,' it whispered before I felt something was twitching in my eyes. I blinked a few times before I saw Noah in a different light.
That's when I know I was a dying cause.
Noah Kovacs' POV
Shit!
I was supposed to stop this from happening again. But what my big mouth did? I told her the truth and now she cannot accept it. I have to find another way.
"Sheila. Do not let the fire control you. You control it," I said to her as she was blinking at me before she was stumbling backward. She was rubbing her eyes before a few more times and she was looking at me.
Bloody hell!
Her eyes were no longer the whiskey that I used to know. It was glowing orange which means her fire was controlling her now.
"Sheila!"
"Back off!" She shouted before I was being blasted with fireballs. I shielded myself as I was contradicted by her power. While she was fire and spewed lava, I was water and created ice. I can still tame her if I can.
"Sheila, this is not who you are," I said as I was looking at her before she was floating from the ground, burning with fire that did not burn her clothes magically.
"You are done being my husband and I am done being controlled by you. Step aside or be burning within," she warned me before I straightened up in my steed and I was facing her, no matter what happened.
"I will not leave you anymore. Not like last time," I said before she smirked at me and laughed maniacally.
"And you with what army? You cannot even control me when I was unconscious. You have to use medicine to control me!" She said as she was holding her hands out and lava started to flow. I was gritting my teeth before I was pulling my ice shield around me and I was holding my ground.
"Do you know what was the surprising thing that I found out recently?" I asked her before she was tilting her head to the side.
"What?" She asked. I smirked before I was holding my hands up toward her.
"You forgot that I am the opposite of you and I can tame you. Just you wait and see," I said before ice shards started to form, pinning her down.
