The soup she made for him

Aaron turned to look at Thea who was struggling to wear the apron. He shook his head before walking towards her.

"Do you need some help?" He asked in a low voice.

Thea stared at him before nodding her head. "Yes, please."

Aaron bent down abit. Thea was already so tall as she reached his shoulders. Thus it wasn't that difficult for him to help with the apron. He held the strings and tied it around her waist. They were standing face to face. Thea felt his warm breath on her cheek. She blushed as she realized how close they were.

"Hey ca-can't you do this from behind? I-I mean it's easier, right?" She stammered awkwardly. Aaron smiled.

"I already finished tying it, dummy." He said, pulling himself away from her.

Thea could finally breath again. She took out a knife from the cabinet with a wooden tray. Aaron tried to grab the knife saying, "You're tired. Lemme do cooking."

He was afraid that she would ruin his kitchen. But he didn't tell it directly as he used a different method.Thea firmly shook her head.

"No, you are sick, okay? Just stay in the living room or your bedroom until I finish."

Aaron was about to refuse her when Thea's phone started ringing.

"Wait a sec."

Thea answered the call. It was Alice.

"Hi sis, where are you?"

Thea cleared her throat.

"Cockroach?"

Alice screamed from the other side.

Thea pulled the phone away from her ear saying, "You're so noisy."

Alice laughed like a lunatic.

"What a good news. I'm glad at your improvement."

Thea rolled her eyes.

"What's up?"

"What?"

"Why did you call me?"

Alice groaned unhappily.

"You are too bad. I called you for your own good but you! You're acting like..."

"Cut the crap!" Thea blurted out impatiently.

She disliked the people who beat around the bush. Alice sighed disappointedly.

"Okay, okay. It's like this. Yesterday Gabriel told me that he wanted to meet you."

Thea was puzzled.

"Gabriel wants to meet me?"

Aaron's ears perked up when he heard the name 'Gabriel'. He had a bad feeling at once.

'Who the hell is this Gabriel? Is he more handsome than me?'

"Tell him that I'll meet him tomorrow." Thea said before hanging up.

When she turned around, she saw certain someone crossing his arms on his chest while glaring at her.

"What's wrong?" She asked, confused.

"Who's Gabriel?"

Aaron's eyes were like they were throwing draggers at her. Thea smiled, looking unaffected. Now it's her opportunity to test this guy!

"The god of love or you can simply call him as... Love god?" She said slowly as if she wanted to deliberately provoke him.

Aaron couldn't believe this silly girl.

"What? What's your relationship with him?" Aaron questioned, displeased.

Thea scoffed.

"Why? It's none of your business."

Aaron secretly clenched his fists in anger. Thea felt bad when she saw his face which was darkened like the bottom of a pot.

"He's my neighbour sister's boyfriend." Eventually she said with a long sigh.

"Why does he want to meet you?"

Apparently, Aaron still didn't stop questioning her. Thea shrugged her shoulders.

"Don't know."

"Should I accompany you?" Aaron asked sincerely.

He really wanted to go see who this Gabriel was. Thea shook her head.

"No need. I can manage."

Aaron gritted his teeth.

'This girl is really clueless.'

___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___

"Here you go."

Thea happily put down two bowls of soup on the long glass table with a wide smile that reached her yellowish grey eyes.

Aaron secretly sallowed his saliva in fear.

Although the soup looked yummy and the aroma was appetizing, when he recalled how horrible her food once was, he was unwilling to taste the soup. He blamed himself countless times in his mind. Why on earth did he ask her to prepare food in the first place? Now he had to pay the price for digging his own grave.

"Why aren't you drinking it yet?" Thea asked sadly and worriedly.

"Do you feel nauseous?"

Aaron rapidly shook his head and then nodded.

Thea sighed, shaking her head.

"Then let me feed you."

She grabbed a silver spoon and filled it with a mouthful of soup before holding it closer to his mouth.

"Aaa?"

Aaron looked at Thea who slightly opened her own mouth and glanced at him with great anticipation.

He felt faulty to let her down by rejecting the soup which she made for an entire hour. He eventually made up his mind. He had to drink this horrible soup!

Aaron closed his eyes tightly before opening his mouth. After that, he slowly and gradually gulped down the soup in great fear like he was drinking poison. When he tasted that veggie soup, his eyes wide opened in incredulity. He glanced at the soup bowl and then at Thea respectively.

"No way, you didn't make this soup, did you?"

Thea rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, I didn't. My ghost made it!"

Aaron still couldn't believe it. It was too yummy and tasty. His saliva drooled over as his stomach craved for more.

"Thea, I'm sorry for telling you this. But you used to be a terrible cook. But now... how did you improve your skills this soon? Did you go to a cooking class or something?" He talked without stopping like a parrot.

Thea sighed, shaking her head.

"I'm always a good cook. It's just that..." 'The person you are talking about is NOT me.'

Aaron raised his eyebrows confusingly.

"It's just what? Did you feed me some bad cookies to piss me off?"

His voice became louder and louder as he interrogated.

Thea quickly waved her hands saying, "No, no. It's not what you think it is. It's just that I put it in the oven for too long. It's my mistake."

Aaron sneered.

"What about adding salt? It was also a mistake?"

Thea pressed her lips tightly, looking annoyed.

"Okay, okay. I'll make it up to you by preparing some new and delectable cookies, okay?"

Aaron smirked. It was his chance to get his revenge. If you ask for what, he will say...

1. Making horrible cookies for him and forcefully feeding them

2. Main & Important reason- Planning to meet another boy the next day

"All right. I want them by tomorrow!" Aaron said firmly.

Thea was shocked and furious at the same time.

"Whaaat? Who do you think I am? A machine?"

Aaron shrugged his shoulders with a whistle, acting like an annoying jerk.

Thea yelled.

"Aaaaaron!!!"
