Back to the imperial study, the emperor silently gazing at the calm head eunuch in front of him. He no longer have a desire to read any memorandum.

" Are you dissatisfied with her punishment?"

Eunuch Wei hurriedly kneel down,

The emperor gaze soften and sigh,

The man in a golden robe stood up and lightly pat his shoulder, " The last time you acknowledge me as your brother and forgot your duty is when you beg for Lui Rushi action and shoulder the consequences. How can I your big brother disappoint you, after all it is my little brother request."

" We may born from different womb, but you were the only brother I can trust. You sacrificed a lot for my sake." He slowly approach the window, gazing at the lonely moon in the sky. " I can't do anything for you but to protect your beloved woman and son."

" when you knew Lui Rushi is attempting to do her tricks again and doomed to be punished, you didn't hesitate to protect her and decided to be with her that night in exchange for you to be an Eunuch in the palace. I truly admire your conviction and bravery which I failed to do to my late empress." His voice is full of melancholy and regret.

Eunuch Wei start to kowtowing himself resulting for his forehead to bleed nonstop. " Words are not enough to compensate of what you have done for me.....Elder Brother. " Wei was born from a drunken night of the late emperor from a mere maid, the last empress can't tolerate the scandal it could bring to the imperial family. She decided to kill the baby but change her mind upon thinking she could raise a loyal servant beside his son.

Wei curiously watching the prince while helping the old lady carrying her stuff and playing with children.

Suddenly, he heard a chuckle, " This is the first time to witness you change your facial expression. Do you finally realize how amazing am I?" Once saying his words, he let out a lively laughter.

Seeing his naive and innocent laughter, Wei can't help but also to smile.

Their happy and carefree days was instantly cut the moment the last empress found out the crown prince secret rendezvous outside of the imperial palace.

His very existence is for the safety of the crown prince but despite that, he allowed the boy to have his way knowing the dangers it could bring to the crown prince.

The head shadow guard punish him with 150 whips while listening to him saying the oath of the shadow guard, drilling in his young mind what are things that should and shouldn't do.

But who would expect that a small body would come from nowhere and protected him. He can still remember the trembling voice of the young man desperately order to stop his punishment, all he can remember is the first warmth he experience in his entire life.

He slowly regain his conscious while listening to voices that seems arguing and can hear the revelation that would affect his entire life.
