"To his majesty, the Emperor! And to the heir of this Empire!" everyone in the banquet raised their wine glass to give a toast towards the Emperor and the Crown Prince. I raised my chalice lightly as I peered through the Red Wine to stare at them. Red Wine... the color of Blood.
The blood that bastard had so much guts to spill that night. How could I ever forget how much I waited until I had taken revenge. Even till this day, I could not forget the dull pain behind my back.
You wait there until I spill your blood too. You all weren't merciless when you killed me either. I will take revenge. A sharp smile perked at the corners of my lips. I loosened my postures as I brought the wine to my lips and took a sip.
I'll make sure that they will have a hell to pay.
I turned around to gaze around the banquet hall. Simply annoying... I saw people already started socializing around. I looked up to see both the pair of Father and Son stared down at us from the top floor veranda of the hallways.
Enjoying this right? We'll see who wins this time... I softened my gaze as I looked up at the bright chandelier.
"Are you enjoying this?" my father asked me. I smiled brightly and nodded. All I have to do is to wait for the priest to arrive. And that's it... my role would be over. The Prophecy to be announced. The King to declare my engagement to the Crown prince. The night would be over soon.
Just wait a little bit more.
I looked over to see people dancing with the course of the song. Heh~ they didn't even have the talent to muster the Viennese Waltz. I tapped onto my father's sleeves.
"Father, do you want to dance?"
He nodded as I took each his hands. We went towards the center of the hall and started the Viennese waltz. People stared over at us. I felt the heat rising beneath my body as I twirled along the dance postures. I was enjoying the speed with my father. The dance had it's own speed, and it's own type of twirls.
It had taken me years to master this dance.
After we finished, we both did a ninety-degree bow and left the spotlight. People applauded us. I turned around towards the corner of the hall, avoiding everyone's gaze over me.
While I waited, I looked over to the Banquet table which had a beautiful champagne tower. I licked my lips, how long have I been waiting for this? I clenched my fists; I am still fifteen... drinking champagne is not a good time now.
I stood still, stupidly looking at the champagne tower, not sure to grab one or not.
In my previous life, I fell in love with champagne at the age of twenty. That was a healthy time to drink champagne. But a little won't hurt, right?
I battled over the thoughts of the glass of champagne when someone tapped my elbow.
***
I looked over to see someone holding a glass of champagne right in front of me, as if they wanted me to reach out to it. And that "someone" was none other than Ambassador Lockhart.
I paused.
HUH??
