Serena clenched her fists, trying to contain her anger as she stood before Venus. She didn't want to make a scene, especially not in the presence of a noble vampire. With a tight smile, she finally said, "Please forgive me," her voice strained with forced humility.
"Swear that you won't ridicule another woman again," Odin commanded sternly, his eyes cold and unyielding.
Swallowing her pride, Serena complied, choking on the humiliation. "I swear," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Venus offered her a serene smile. "I forgive you."
Unable to bear the tension any longer, Serena brushed past them, her face flushed with embarrassment. But before she could escape, Odin's voice cut through the air like a knife.
"If I hear you've spoken ill of Miss Venus again, I won't hesitate to inform your husband. I don't care what consequences you face then," he warned, his tone icy.
