Rosaline widened her eyes and pulled her legs back as she thought to run away when Jedediah grasped her ankle.
"Lord Jed…" She glanced at him with a startled expression.
"Hmm?" He lifted his eyebrow, waiting for her to speak.
Her eyes flickered in nervousness as nothing was coming up in her head. What excuse should she make to run away?
Jedediah liked to see her squirm to his teasing. It encouraged him to tease her more, but he refrained from crossing the boundary.
"Nothing good happens if a man and a woman are left alone in a room," Rosaline finally replied to his question.
"A good-hearted man will never do anything with the woman in his room," she stated.
Jedediah was amused to hear her answer.
"Rose, why do you always take my questions the other way? Your mind is really wild," Jedediah asserted, and it made her gulp.
"I did not think anything wild," she replied and pouted her lips. "Instead, Lord Jed's question was wild," she mumbled.
