"I will pick my Future mother-in-law," Adira said.

These words stunned Serene by wholesome. She never expected her daughter would want this. She thought she would pick her.

But what's wrong?

"Why?" Serene asked.

"Simple, I want to know about my future husband. And my mother-in-law would be my partner in crime," Adira said with a giggle.

[Bingo! I want to know about our husband too.] Leina said in her mind. But Adira just ignored her.

"That's stupidity," Serene grumbled.

"Mom, you are insulting me," Adira said with a pout.

"Stop behaving like a kid if you want to learn from her," Serene chided.

"I will tell brother that you are screaming at me!" Adira said.

"As if he will believe you," Serene said.

"Brother will believe whatever I say," Adira said with another pout. She even stuck her tongue out at her mother.

"Oh, My God! You are going to get married in a few more days. Behave like a proper lady," Serene said.

"Mom, I need snacks," Adira said with a pout.

"Uff! Eudora is your best choice!" Serene said before she stormed out of her chambers.

"Mom, I love you," Adira yelled loud enough for her mother to hear.

Adira was perfect with her etiquette but she just loves to mess with her mother. Her mother was too cute when she was pissed or angry.

The moment Serene stepped out of her chambers, Adira's expression changed. Her childish yet naughty expressions turned serious. She was still somehow suspicious of this thing.

Even though Zaros was her mate, she still couldn't believe him. She was trying to be away from him and his scent but because of the mate bond, his presence, words, and his husky voice brought tremors to her body. She could feel butterflies in her body flying here and there. But she should be strong enough to resist his seduction. Uff… that's right. She should learn self-restraint.

[But he is our mate.] her wolf Leina was ready to launch at her.

[Leina, this mate bond only works with us, not with them. We don't know if he has any intentions. Do you want to forget our people, kingdom, and brother for our mate?] Adira questioned her wolf.

Leina fell silent at her words. Adira was right.

Leina just shut herself in Adira's mind. She doesn't want to talk to her.

Adira sighed at Leina. She knew Leina accepted the logic she said. Every time Zaros came near her along with her fluttering feelings in her body she sensed a slight danger. He was a dangerous man that they shouldn't mess with.

She would control all her stomach twisting, heart hammering, mind hogging feelings. This man was really dangerous. She can't be falling for him. Falling for him was equal to falling into the devil's trap.

Just the memory of his face with a smirk created some twirling in her stomach. That sinfully handsome can make a human pregnant without even touching. Just his presence was enough to get a woman pregnant.

[But he belongs to us now!] Leina came back.

[Too much for thinking you locked yourself.] Adira said rolling her eyes at her.

Leina just tsked at her.

Just then there was a knock on the door.

"Enter," Adira said without lifting her head.

"My Lady," she heard his husky voice again.

Something stirred in her lower region, making her wet. When a werewolf was near her mate all her desires would increase. When Adira was going through this sweet torture, look at there, he was standing unaffected with a dangling smirk on his lips.

"That's a surprise, My Lord oops Your Grace," Adira said. She acted like she did a mistake and corrected it.

Was she taunting him for not letting her call the way she wanted?

How cute. He thought.

Before Adira could say anything, he used his Vampire speed to reach her. He pushed her down the bed hovering over her, creating chaos inside her.

"This isn't proper, My Lo- Your Grace," Adira said. She almost called My Lord in her fussy but she corrected herself in time.

"Soon, you will scream my name. Saying Zaros. And I will hear it," he said with a smirk in a challenging tone.

"Your Grace, please refrain from your words," Adira said with a blush.

This man was something. He was making it impossible for her to stay sane.

"Do you know how beautiful you are looking with this necklace and this dress?" he asked ignoring her words.

"Your Grace, this is not right," she struggled to say under him. His breath, his touch, and his gaze were making her a senseless woman.

"I don't know. If it was another woman I would have agreed but with you, everything feels right," he said.

"A wolf bite can kill a vampire," Adira threatened him.

"Haha… do you know it's a myth," the Vampire said.

"We will never know until we try," Adira said with a frown not liking that a fact turned into a myth.

Then if it's the case then how could vampires die in their hands? Adira was curious about this.

"Don't think about how we die," he said with a smile, placing his hand on her bare shoulder as he let the coldness seep into her body, making her shiver.

"Your Grace, this is inappropriate. It's time for my mother to return," Adira said in a low voice that turned him hard.

Adira doesn't know what to do. Indeed she has sparked for him and that's because of the mate bond. She wished she can have some time without being forced by him. And she can't tell he was her mate. It will make things worse.

What if he uses that to his advantage and he does something bad for her.

"Don't worry. I will do nothing to you," Zaros said. He could say she has desires for him and he has some effect on her. But why does she hide it from him? He was all hers.

He feels pity for her. Because he knew a werewolf cannot live longer if she gets married to someone who wasn't her mate. He was trying to be nice and solve things. Also, he was attracted to her. He wanted to do many sinful things to her. He hoped she would give him the things he deserved as her future husband. But why does she always pushes him away?

He felt anger coursing his veins at her rejection. Red veins popped around his eyes as he started turning into vampire form.

"Why do you push me away?" he asked. His voice was chillier than normal. She gulped seeing him like that. She could see his fangs getting elongated, and feel his fingers that were on her shoulders were turning colder to the freezing point and sharp as a fine blade.

"Le-leave-leave m-me," she stuttered feeling scared of his form.

[Is he going to hurt us?] Leina asked.

A vampire bite with vampire venom can kill them. And Adira was not in her wolf form to kill him.

Even If he kills her nobody would say a thing to him.

The marriage would still take place. She could do nothing. For some reason, the fear she felt before meeting her so-called future husband came with ten times more intensity. She shivered under him. How did it change all of a sudden?

"Lea-leave m-me," she said shivering again.

Zaros realized what he has done. He got up from her and stood up. He closed his eyes and took a breath before calming down. After he was done, he opened them. His eyes turned normal, his fingers became normal and his fangs disappeared.

Adira got up and crawled to the farthest of her bed seeing him. She had never seen a vampire turning like this. All she heard were tales and talks from others. As a princess, she was treated with utmost care. Now she realized how wrong she was.

She can't do this marriage anymore. This wasn't right. She has no safety. The more she thought the more she was scared. Adira has to tell her brother.

She thought Zaro kind of liked her. But she was wrong. She was wrong. He never cared. She has to learn more about Vampires. And she knew she has no way to call this wedding or marriage. She was just a tool for everyone to be used in the marriage.

The real struggle starts from the moment she becomes his wife.

Zaros felt irritated now. He ruined his chances with her. But it's a good thing, that this marriage would go on no matter what. He will make her fall for him. He almost succeeded if not for his anger, he would have slept with her now.

"I came here to tell you that the necklace was nice on you. I will take my leave," he said. He could see her flinching at his voice.

Looks like he scared her too much. Things were going to get hard now. This was not good. He will take slow steps from now. He will make her fall for him and then will know the secrets.

His steps to take down the werewolves race will start now. He just hoped his sister wouldn't ruin anything. After all, she did it once. He doesn't want to take chances now.

He needs to have patience. Putting some time and patience can achieve things for him.

He planned to take down this race and make them his slaves. And he would do anything for that. Zaros knew this was breaching a pact but it was fine as long as he got the advantage.
