427. Familiar and Unfamiliar Sights
Mauve's mouth fell open as they stopped in front of two huge gate towers. She was away for less than two months, which was definitely not enough time to erect such a building.
Vampires were incredibly fast. She knew they were but to erect this structure in such a short time frame was almost a miracle.
"Jael," she said as the front gates were thrown. She looked at him with huge eyes. "Why did you say the castle was no different from when I left? Look at this, it's huge."
"Is it?" He asked nonchalantly.
"Of course it is!" She said stubbornly. How were they able to build this in such a short time?
Jael shrugged and didn't say anything more. Mauve turned her head back to the building.
The towers, the two frames supporting the gate, were at least thirty feet tall. It gave good protection before one would get to the castle.
