136. A Loud Splash
Jael jumped up to a tree, this wouldn't help his situation but at least he could see what was coming before he got jumped. He peered into the night, just as the Paler hit the tree.
He heard a slashing sound and the tree started to fall down. Just how strong was this paler. Jael jumped off the tree just before it hit the ground.
He looked down at Mauve, he could tell she was unconscious. He had to leave now, if there was any chance of him making it there on time.
Jael was busy examining her and he wasn't about to move on time, just as he was about to jump out of the way the paler grabbed his legs and tossed him to the ground.
Thankfully, he landed with his back and was able to protect Mauve. Using his other leg he kicked as hard as he could and the paler let go of him. He stood to his feet and staggered. The Paler had ripped his leg.
