SAME PREDICAMENT

THIRD POV

Elijah was holding all the rage he felt in. He wanted to lash out at his brother but he couldn't, they had guests.

He could never understand why his brother did things without thinking of the consequences. He was trying to piss off Mateo by getting with his sister.

There were many girls he would sleep with but he chose her for what reason?

As Erin left the room and went to sleep it was finally time for him to ask his brother what was wrong with him.

"Edmund what is wrong with you?", Elijah asked him.

"What do you mean am perfectly fine and if you mean the little banter between me and miss Erin don't worry about it she has a way of making me lose it sometimes ", said Edmund chuckling as he drank the wine in Alicia's glass.

"No way you are with Alicia you know Mateo will be furious about this ", said Edmund as he rubbed his forehead.

It was like a job trying to control his brother. He did not listen to anyone but himself and what he had to tell himself were just stupid things.

"We said we can't kill each other not see each other naked if I remember very well ", said Edmund.

He has a point though. What he couldn't get was why his brother always looked for trouble from their enemies. Just because they had not said it wasn't wrong didn't mean that Mateo was going to assume it.

"What about when Mateo finds out ?", Elijah asked Alicia.

"Then we will deal with it at the moment ", she said shrugging shoulders.

"Funny there is no "we" this seems to be your problem ", said Elijah.

"Okay brother what is the reason for this? It's not like am going to stop sleeping with her and tell her to go home just because you don't like her", Edmund said looking at his brother.

"Why do I even bother, you don't listen to anyone ", said Elijah as he stood up and left.

Alicia was scared of what her brother would do if he found out. He did not take things lightly and to make matters worse it was Edmund.

The man that he despised with everything in him. Of course, he would be furious if he found out that she was sleeping with his sister.

Edmund could not get why they were fussing over something so small. It was just sex it was not like they were going to get married.

Maybe they would stop seeing each other even before Mateo would find out about it.

Katelyn finished cleaning the dishes and made her way upstairs to her room. She did not want to sit and listen to her brother's banter back and forth about something that she was not part of.

The worst thing was that most of the time they would argue about something for hours and end up not going it. What was the reason for it all?

She knew she did not have it in her to speak in the matter when she was having trouble herself. She was almost in the same mess with Mateo so she would just sound like a hypocrite talking about it.

All she knew was that Alicia was right in one thing. It was just sex what were they going to do if they found out?

For once would they do something without thinking of the consequences? She was stored of playing by the rules. She was tired of not doing things because it would upset her brothers.

They had to face it someday she was not a kid who had a curfew and rules. She was just like them and if they did whatever they wanted to do so was she.

She opened the door to her room and Erin was still up.

"Hey ", she greeted her.

"Hey ", she said as she sat up.

"Am sorry for my brother's behaviors during dinner, it was uncalled for ", said Katelyn.

"It's fine he is an asshole I expect nothing to come out of his mouth ", said Erin as she chuckled.

"Yeah he is an asshole and we didn't mean to make you uncomfortable with the tension that was in the room ", said Katelyn as she sat on the bed.

"It's fine, why isn't your brother supposed to sleep with that girl ?", Erin asked her.

"It's a complicated story, there is this guy who doesn't like my brothers that much so if he finds out that my brother is sleeping with his sister it's going to cause trouble ", said Katelyn.

"It's just sex what hard could it cause anyone ?", asked Erin.

She had no idea want to harm it would cause. That Mateo was looking for one thing so that he could destroy them all.

"How do I put this so that you understand. I think he will even be pissed if he knows we breathed in his sister's direction", said Katelyn.

"Okay so if it's that bad why did your brother do it ?", she asked Katelyn.

"Because my brother doesn't listen. He likes to take things a little far because he thinks that he is above everyone else ", said Katelyn.

"Then tell him to stop seeing her it's not like he won't find another girl to play with from the way he talks it seems like he can find one whichever time he wants.", said Erin chuckling.

"Mateo is the guy at the hospital I don't think am the perfect person to tell people who to see and who not to ", said Katelyn.

"Oh my God, I would have never guessed but then again you seemed so chill about the situation like it was nothing. What will you tell them when they find out

?", Erin asked her.

"There won't be anything to tell because I won't let anything happen between us ", said Katelyn smiling.

"Oohhh funny is that what you want, I mean if you want you should just go with it if it ends there is no problem you would have known what it is like to be with him.

The worst your brothers can do is be mad at you", said Erin.

She didn't know the things that her brothers would do. A little part of Katelyn hoped it was true that her brothers would stand by her with whatever she wanted to do.

She knew Elijah would approve, Edmund always had trouble with the people she chose to sleep with.
