Taking a step back, Anastasia looked visibly scared. Her face was pale, and she seemed lost. "I'm sure it's her, Diya."
"Hey… listen…" Diya quickly moved to her side, speaking in a calm voice, "It could be Leo or Dad, so let me go and check." She tried to reassure her, though she was feeling anxious herself.
The two exchanged a wary look before Diya walked over to the door and opened it, bracing herself for the worst. As the door swung open, a familiar but unwelcome face stood on the other side—Delilah.
Seeing the furrow in Diya's expression, Anastasia stepped forward to get a look and was unexpectedly surprised to find an uninvited guest.
"Delilah?" Anastasia frowned, gripping the door tightly. "What are you doing here?"
"Ah…" Delilah's face was serious, though she forced a nervous smile. "I'm sorry to show up uninvited like this." She chuckled awkwardly. "But I tried calling you several times, and you didn't pick up."
