Daniel stood frozen in front of the 2WO Group's building, which felt like a giant reminder of everything he hated right now. He sighed for what seemed like the hundredth time, frustration bubbling inside him. His mind and feelings were a jumbled mess of doubts and anger. Knowing how much power Ashton had, he should have come ready with a plan and a clear mind. Instead, he was here, driven by rage and the need for answers.
Taking a deep breath, Daniel forced himself to move. As he approached his car, the phone in his pocket rang. Seeing Diya's name on the screen made his eyes widen with hope. "Is she awake?"
"She has been for a while now," Diya answered casually.
"For a while? Then why didn't you call me earlier?" His voice rose as he unlocked his car.
"Well..." Diya paused for a few seconds before continuing, "Nothing. Just come here as soon as possible."
