The Untamed: World Of Darkness

In a world plagued with dark energy, because of the destruction of the Ying/Yan balance, Clans are the only salvation to the common people. Once every generation, all Clans youths gather in the Cloud Recesses to learn from the strongest, to keep their people safe from the ever present threats of the undead. Wei Wuxian, along with the Wen siblings are from the lowest smaller Clans, yet they are determined to prove the cultivator world that they can surpass those overconfident idiots of the main Clans and even save their world. A completely AU version of the drama The Untamed. I don't own the novel nor the drama or any of the pictures used as covers. BAD English, but interesting read.

A Hint Of Family

Lan Zhan

The next few hours, father and son were transfixed into Wei Ying's notes, sharing opinions, insights and doubts about the findings. At the end Lord Wei had told Wei Ying he will make a deeper investigation on his own, along with Xichen and other Clan Leaders. That because he too had find some things strange and was not willing to act in a rush, when they were many fact still unknown.

He had heard them talk for the last two hours, with only one thing certain. The threat to the Clans was real, Lord Wei had known of it for years, however, whatever the finding of the barriers with puppets corpses was a luring trap or a chance to turn thing around was not clear yet, but he planned to discuss it with both Xichen and Lord Zheng in the morning and then head out to visit the ruins and see for himself what took place there.

Wanji was glad Lord Wei was now taking charge of the investigation and analysis of the talismans and corpses, as it leaved Wei Ying out of that dangerous mess, especially when he was already a target, thus he will remain in the safety of the islands until a decision was made. He admired the way father and son understood each other and worked together in such harmony, to a point, sometimes they didn't need to say words, just a glance was enough to know what the other was thinking.

Lord Wei, then leaved to rest in one of the guest room his brother had already prepared for him and his companions. He also said to Wei Ying that in the morning he may had a pleasant surprise that will keep him busy for a few days. Knowing it was probably Ah Yuan, Wei Ying was even more delighted, thus after the sliding door was closed behind his father back, his overly happy boyfriend wasted no time to once again jump on him to kiss him senseless for who knows how long.

"Lan Zhan... my Lan Zhan..." Wei whisper, as Wangji put him down, a while later, long after Suibian had go back to his blade, leaving them on their own.

"Happy?" Wangji whisper.

"Ah, yeah... I'm sure father bring Ah Yuan with him, so tomorrow you will meet your brand new son." Wei smiled.

"I will do my best." Wei Ying laughed at that.

"A Yuan is quite something, but a serious new father will do him good... now come. Let's get some rest while we can. I had the feeling the coming days will be very busy." Wei said as he walked backwards while pulling his lover to their bed.

When reaching the border, Wei fell with Wangji right above him. He then pass his arms around the happy Lan Zhan and kiss him over and over, before Wangji time to rest came. Then they lay side by side in each other's arm for the rest of the night.

The next morning, after some meditation early on, Wangji wake up his lover and take him to the Crystal Lake, to take a bath and make Wei Ying balance his energies once again before going back to their room. An hour later, there was a joyful voice coming closer to their room and Wei Ying was instantly out to take the small kid approaching in his arms. This time, it was not Lord Wei who showed up with him, but a woman. Wei Ying introduce them both to him, first, the middle age woman, called Wen Jin. She was from the Wen Clan, and sister to Ning and Qing's father.

Her position in the Wen Clan was high, but her heart was very tender, especially with little Ah Yuan. Wangji bowed respectfully to her, who probably came along with Lord Wei to discuss the more serious matter happening in the north. Then it was the time to introduce the little smiling kid in his arms.

"Ah Yuan, this handsome man is your father Xian partner, Lan Zhan. Father Xian loves him a lot, so be very good with him, okay?" Wei Ying said, leaving the three years old kid in the floor.

Ah Yuan look up to the tall young man in front of him, the morning sun was shining upon him, bathing his pristine white robes with a dazzling glow that make him open his little mouth in wonder. This partner figure looked imposing and powerful, yet he looked noble like the king of his tales.

"Father Xian, is he a king?" The little kid asked while pulling on his robes, making Wei Ying and the woman laugh, while Wangji was too stunned to react beyond reddish ears.

"Not yet... more like a prince." Wei explained, as Ah Yuan saw the Clan raking as nobility. The Clan leader was a King, the next in line was a prince.

"Then, you are his princess?" Wangji smirked as Wei fumed.

"No, I'm not a princess, I'm a man, a very handsome one that is also like a prince in the Wei Clan." Wei said, still...

"But he looks better... the sun even make him shine... he is father Zhan!" Thus, little Ah Yuan did as what he usually did when liking someone and grab Lan Wanji's leg.

"....." What's this? Wangji thought as he looked at the little kid grabbing his leg.

"Wei Ying?" Wangji was clueless as to how to act, so he looked at his lover for guidance, but Wei Ying only laughed his heart out as Ah Yuan stick to his leg happily.

"Ah Yuan... come here boy, don't scare father Zhan." Wei said.

"But I like him..." Wei smiled.

"Yeah, I know you like him, but this is new to Lan Zhan... Wen Jin, you can go and join father and Lord Xichen. I will stay with Ah Yuan for the rest of the day." Wen Jin smiled and assented, taking her leave.

"Lan Zhan, do you have something cute in the islands? Let's make a good tour for Ah Yuan..." Wangji smiled and he thought of a place he liked very much and was going to bring Wei Ying there before leaving the islands.

Soon after, he teleport them to another island, a small one, with a pagoda in the center, a fild of grass, a garden full of butterflies, a small lake and a few fluffy rabbits running around the peaceful land. Ah Yuan was delighted as he chased the elusive rabbit's right and left, sometimes falling over the grass.

At those moments, Wangji impulsively help Ah Yuan back to his feet, which make the kid smile at him widely, before chasing more rabbits or butterflies, while giggling innocently. In a corner of the pagoda, Wei Ying found his favorite rabbit, along with another. One black and one white that in Wei's eyes looked like they were kissing, as their noses came to close to each other. Wei Ying laughed and took the black one, while he took the other.

"Aren't these two like us? Both males, one white, one black and kissing so shamelessly in a corner?" Wangji smirked.

"The one in your hands is my favorite." Wangji told him.

"Because he is black?" Ying asked and he assented.

"He is the only one with different color..." Wangji answer.

"Then, you like things that are different? What about me? I am of a different kind of what you use to see and deal with." Wangji face expression soften, as his ears went on fire. He had not thought about it, but it may be exactly the case why he was so infatuate with Wei Ying, more than the color, he like them because they were different.

"You already know the answer to that question." Wangji said as he rubbed the back of his rabbit, to distract himself from Wei's deep gaze.

"Lan Zhan, I had notice this before, but as Ah Yuan said it out loud first, I should honor you too." Wangji raised one eyebrow and look back at him.

"With what?" Wei smiled.

"I should call you Hanguang-Jun. You do bring in the light... my Light Bearing Lord..." Wei whisper as he came closer to Lan Zhan and when he was about to kiss him, a pull on his robes make Wei Ying look down to find Ah Yuan staring at them. Wangji's face was back on fire, he gave a few step back, while the shameless lover simply laughed.

"Father Xian, are you going to marry father Zhan?" Ah Yuan asked innocently.

"In a future, yes..." Wei said.

"You said you will adopt me when you marry, but then... I will be a Wei or a Lan?" Ah Yuan asked curiously as he look at both of them. Wangji and Wei Ying looked at each other for a moment and then...

"Wei." "Lan." The both of them answer at the same time, confusing little Ah Yuan. After the two claimings, Wei laughed.

"We will talk about that later... now, here Ah Yuan, have father Zhan's favorite... don't let it fall." Wei said and he kneeled to give Ah Yuan his black rabbit.

"Can I play with it?" Ah Yuan asked, as he took it.

"Yes, but be careful not to hurt him. He is father Zhan special one after all." After hearing that Ah Yuan put it on the floor very gently and let it go.

"Ah Yuan... why did you let it go?" Wei asked as he watched the black rabbit run away.

"Because he is father Zhan special one. I don't want father Zhan to dislike me and leave me behind... like 'they' did before." Wangji's heart was touched by the kid's word and smiled gently, messing up a bit with his hair.

"I will not leave Wei Ying, nor you." Ah Yuan smiled happily.

"Know what, since you couldn't play with Lan Zhan's rabbit, then, let's play with father Zhan instead. Come here my boy, let's make long tresses in father Zhan's hair.

"Wait, Wei Ying..." Lan Zhan kind of panic, taking a few more steps back, making Wei laugh.

"See Ah Yuan? Father Zhan is very strong, but he fear tresses..." Ah Yuan giggle.

"Father Zhan, can I try? I promise it won't hurt." Wangji sighed at the delighted glance of Ah Yuan. Who could said no to such pure face?

"Just once, but do not touch the ribbon." Wangji said and Ah Yuan agree, then he moved to the last step to the pagoda and sat over it, releasing the white rabbit in his hand. Both Wei Ying and Ah Yuan sat behind him and started to make tresses on his hair, as they giggle and laugh.

As he felt the two set of hands working on his long half tie hair, he smiled. It bring him a great happiness to be part of something else, to have that feeling of what was called a family. He loved and respected his brother very much, but as their parents were not together and then their respective trainings took them apart, they had not share such small, yet caring moments.

After he had at least half a dozen tresses, it was Wei Ying's turn, thus when he was making tresses in Wei's hair with Ah Yuan, his heart was once again mending old scars, while becoming part of their little family.
