BRILLANTE

Brillante: brilliantly, with sparkle. Play in a showy and spirited style.

Zhou Yongliang stepped out of the canteen in annoyance. He wasn't really angry, but he was just disappointed. Zhong Hai, Chen Guangli, and Huang Bo didn't seem to have dramatized his confession too much, but Ren Weisheng? The short man seemed to be exaggerating the problem; he was hyperbolic.

'Why did Weisheng gege act like that, anyway? Did he like Yang Liu too and want Yang Liu for himself?'

Zhou Yongliang shook his head. No way, it was clear that Ren Weisheng hated the cold guy from the start. There was no way that the feelings in Ren Weisheng's heart would be the opposite of what he expressed through words and deeds.

Choosing to forget about the matter for a moment, Zhou Yongliang carefully opened the library door. That was Zhou Yongliang's routine these days—a routine that had been monitored by his friends and made them suspicious.

In the past week, he always ate his lunch at high speed in the canteen, and then went to the library and spent the rest of his lunch break in a quiet place full of books. No, he didn't want to study or read books. He was not that diligent to do that.

The sole reason behind his strange action was...

"Yang Liu."

Yes, the whispers that coming out from Zhou Yongliang's thin lips answered all the question marks. The tall student unconsciously whispered as soon as he found Yang Liu at the back corner of the library.

That spot was like a hideout for Yang Liu. The black-haired student often spent his lunch break at that place. Yang Liu also did not study or read books. Instead, he folded his arms on the table and put his head on top of his folded arms. In that perfect position, he fell asleep.

Zhou Yongliang smiled slightly at the sight. It was the third day he found Yang Liu in that position since he decided to start pursuing the taller student a few days ago. Yeah, he pursued Yang Liu by secretly following the young guy to the library every lunch break.

Apart from following him to the library every lunch break, Zhou Yongliang had also been nice to Yang Liu recently; he smiled at Yang Liu at school, he greeted Yang Liu every morning, and he even helped Yang Liu to solve a question in front of the class when the Chemistry teacher asked the latter to do that—even though his help was useless because he gave a wrong answer at that time. Thankfully Yang Liu was brilliant and didn't need Zhou Yongliang's help. The taller student just ignored him back then.

Zhou Yongliang's carefully walked closer to Yang Liu. Once he was near the taller student, he slowly pulled out a chair and sat down beside the sleeping student. He didn't intend to wake up the handsome young guy, so he tried to do it without a sound.

He would just stay there and stared at Yang Liu silently, just like what he always did for the past two days.

Today was the same. Zhou Yongliang silently looked at the sleeping Yang Liu. The young guy's face could not be seen, though. It was buried in his two neatly folded arms. But, even though his face wasn't exposed, Yang Liu still looked attractive in Zhou Yongliang's eyes.

"Not bored yet?"

Zhou Yongliang flinched in surprise as a voice greeted his sense of hearing. The voice could not be heard clearly, though. The person who just asked a question was still burying his face in the folds of his arms. Yes, Yang Liu was the one who just asked him a question.

Zhou Yongliang's eyes widened as he saw Yang Liu slowly getting up from his position earlier. His sharp eyes immediately pierced Zhou Yongliang's round eyes.

"You haven't tired of looking at me yet?" The thick-lipped youth asked again.

Zhou Yongliang swallowed nervously. "I-I..." It was so difficult for him to move his tongue. "How did you know that I was staring at you? You buried your head, and your eyes were covered by your folded arm earlier. How could you know that I was staring at you? And, how could you know that I'm the one here and not another person?" He decided to interrogated his classmate back.

He was sure that Yang Liu didn't see him earlier, so he was surprised to hear Yang Liu's question. The black-haired student could sense his presence even without looking at him.

Yang Liu grieved lightly. "Everything is clear to me even though I close my eyes," he replied arrogantly. "It's already the third day you did it. You are not bored yet?"

This situation reminded Zhou Yongliang of an event. One day, he forgot to bring an umbrella and it was raining all of a student. He stayed in front of a store to wait for the rain to stop, but a car suddenly speeding on the road and he was splashed by the water puddle on the road. He drenched from head to toe, and then he decided to walk in the rain without a care. He was already drenched, anyway. So, it was no use to wait for the rain to stop. It was better to just enjoy the rain.

The current situation was almost the same. He was originally just wanted to get close to Yang Liu secretly and slowly, but now that the latter had caught him off guard, it was better to show his affection openly. That was what he thought.

"Why should I get bored?" Zhou Yongliang asked back confidently. "I like you, and I will never get bored to stare at you for the rest of my life."

Yang Liu stared at Zhou Yongliang silently for at least one full minute. The student seemed startled when he heard Zhou Yongliang's very bold and confident confession.

"Crazy." Yang Liu finally got up as he looked down at Zhou Yongliang sharply. "Can't you stop bothering me? You are disgusting!" The tall student then left Zhou Yongliang alone in the back corner of the library.

Zhou Yongliang froze at Yang Liu's harsh words. His heart was throbbing with pain from it, but before long, the young guy's expression changed as a slightly mysterious smirk graced his thin lips.
