On the third floor of an empty skyscraper, a ball of light flashed, and a young man appeared in midair while landing in a crouch.

"That was close!" Lin Fang exclaimed as he looked around him.

"I seem to still be on the same planet… am not even that far from where I was! Did the staff weaken? What is the principle behind this?"

Lin thought as he stood up.

The room he found himself in was massive, and contained floating box-like objects that swirled around the spot. They housed various exotic materials that Lin couldn't make out— except a 'certain' rifle.

In curiosity, Lin stretched out his hand and controlled his mana to flow out from his palms.

The mana entered a box and passed through the protective covering. It got inside and wrapped the <Quantum energy rifle> written in red font.

The rifle then vanished and materialized in his arms.

"How strong is this, Hmm?" Lin said before pointing and aiming ahead of him.

"No. I need to find out where I am. I will do this later!"

Lin then made a hand sign which caused the rifle to distort into light particles that came into his hand.

"I need to get out of here!"

Lin changed his seal into a hexagonal form which caused lines to form on the edges of his fingers before spreading it and expanding the circle.

Soon, a human-sized portal materialized, and on the other side, a land of pipes, drones, and metallic buildings.

"Abnormal infrastructure this world has! I liked the last scenery better,"

Said Lin as he crossed the land and passed the other side.

[Ripple!]

His form transformed into a suited soldier with a round metallic screened face and a police cap on his head.

"I put the coordinates{Crimes, low-class, rural} in the portal. It should take me to the district with the highest crime index!"

Lin thought as he walked forward, coming out on the alleyway,

"So, I beat her up-it's one of them, The Advents, let's scram."

A man with purple sclera was talking to an individual with a floating transparent sphere head woman before noticing the disguised Lin and deciding it was time to leave.

The same scenario repeated itself as Lin trekked about the city.

"I am too scared to ask 'around.' Especially in such a lawless zone… Wait, I could just listen in on conversations.

Lin internally said as a rune appeared in his ears and all the sounds around him turned to text in his eyes.

"Ok, I have gotten the base info, but I have to get someone that will help me sort it, but who!"

Lin Fang contemplated, and suddenly he saw a scared Squid-headed woman passing by him and had an idea

He grabbed the woman's collar, raising her and slamming her on the metal walls.

The people around walked away faster, not wanting to get implicated in the woman's bad luck.

"I have a couple of questions for you… rat!"

{Advent Lin} said, staring at the woman menacingly.

"Please! it wasn't me, it wasn't me, please,"

The woman begged, but Lin smacked her on the face with his staff covered by an illusion, making it look like a long black baton.

"I said..! I have questions… and I don't remember asking if it was you! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!"

{Advent Lin} said with his robotic face coming close to the woman.

The woman nodded her head with her tentacles dangling.

The Tv screen on Lin's face broadcasted a smile. He dropped the woman and held her on her facial limbs as he dragged her to an alley.

Lin dropped the woman as he clicked his fingers, "First question: where are we!"

The squid-woman quickly answered, "Jamal!!!"

Lin nodded and asked, "I need the names of all the leaders and influential people here and everywhere else!?"

"You need what?" The squid-woman now looked confused.

Lin summoned a rifle and placed the muzzle in front of the woman's face. "You can't seem to understand me…Should I get a more…willing participant?"

"Jeff Einsteinium, Dany brum, chaly wine, joll bezas—"

The woman rapidly said as a blue slime dripped down her face.

[Bang!]

The ground beside her exploded, and Lin said, "Stop sweating. You're disgusting, me!"

The woman's eyes flashed with hate as she stared at him, which soon disappeared in a couple of milliseconds.

But Lin noticed it and smiled behind his camouflage.

"Alright, may we continue?"

After a few minutes, Lin came out of the alley with the woman, now in a cloak running out from behind him with fear and disgust in her eyes.

"I feel bad for doing that. Although, it was all for the greater good."

Lin thought as he walked in the road, "However, its good to know that… the effect of law enforcement s not as strong as I first witnessed,"

[Bam!]

A bloody gap appeared in Lin's chest, and on the other side of the hole, a screen-faced man stood there with a smile while holding an energy rifle.

"Never knew I would witness someone try to mask themselves as an Advent… brave- wait, what."

(~Lin~} slowly turned to a squid-headed woman surrounded by glowing runes as she gasped while coughing out yellow blood.

On the other side of the sidewalk, trod a squid head woman as she smiled, and on her hands were glowing runes and her face then slowly vanished, revealing a Lin underneath.

"I feel bad for doing that." He glanced back for a moment looking at the woman bleeding out on the metal ground as the Advent turned her over with rage in his eyes.

"What am I becoming?"
