In the subsequent taijutsu test, the students' performances were commendable. However, with Toshirou's outstanding prowess, both Yuta Ikeda and Ryosuke Aoyama felt somewhat lackluster by comparison.
Even the clan offspring were far behind Toshirou in terms of strength, speed, technique, and the seamless connection of their moves.
"Darn it! The Uchiha guy is really annoying..." Some of the boys in the class, eager to prove themselves, threw a malicious glance at Uchiha Toshirou. Some of the clan offspring also looked at him with resentment.
"This guy performs so well, the family will definitely increase our training once they find out! Thank goodness he's an Uchiha. If he were a commoner, the consequences would be unimaginable."
Being a ninja is a highly competitive profession. Whether in ninja school or among clan ninjas, competition among these newly admitted kids is always welcomed.
For ninja clans, losing to an Uchiha might be somewhat acceptable, and they would just increase the training. However, losing to a commoner would not just be remedied with ordinary extra practice; it would require a profound punishment and a hellish training regimen.
"Toshirou is so handsome. Although he usually sits there quietly, looking as if he's indifferent to the world, when he gets serious, he's quite driven. I just don't dare to disturb him!" thought some of the girls with infatuated expressions.
If he hadn't spent the past month quietly sitting in his seat reading, giving off a subtle sense of distance, making many girls reluctant to disturb him from enjoying his tranquility, his ninja school life would surely have been even more colorful.
As the last student called went up to spar with Teacher Ikeda and formed the seal of reconciliation, Teacher Aoyama held his recorded materials and walked to the center of the field to address the students:
"Alright, today's basic taijutsu test ends here. Everyone performed well, particularly Uchiha Toshirou. Tomorrow afternoon, we will conduct the seal formation and shuriken throwing test. I hope everyone will keep it up!"
For Toshirou, the seal formation test is hardly a challenge. He had been practicing the speed of forming seals for two years.
He even created a stack of notes marked with different seal formations, ranging from four to twelve. Each time, he would scramble their order and start practicing each seal individually.
He could now form nearly three seals per second, which is comparable to an average Chūnin.
As for shuriken throwing, it was even less of a concern. Although he had stopped continuously enhancing his shuriken throwing techniques, it didn't mean he abandoned the skill. He still maintained his training, practicing two to three times a week, though not as frequently or as extensively as before.
In the last row by the window in the ninja school classroom, Uchiha Toshirou sat with his arms crossed, resting his head on his arms, looking listless.
The shadow clone practicing chakra nature transformation at home all afternoon had just been dispelled, bringing a wave of mild fatigue and transferring a large amount of related training memories to his brain, becoming part of his memory.
"Uchiha Toshirou, answer the function of the seal on the blackboard!"
"The seal on the board is one of the twelve basic seals, the Tiger Seal. It serves as the final hand seal in conventional Fire Style techniques, aiding the ninja in changing the nature of their chakra," Toshirou answered calmly, standing up.
"Sit down. You might already have mastered these but pay attention in class and don't daydream."
After a month of interaction, he had a general understanding of the skill level of each student in the class. Asking Toshirou a question was merely an expression of his dissatisfaction with Toshirou sleeping in his class.
"Ring, ring, ring."
As the bell signaling the end of class rang.
"A bunch of slackers, no wonder not one of you is familiar. Whether at the beginning of the story or during Shippuden, none of them appear. Probably all got wiped out in the Third Great Ninja War, their future looks bleak!" Toshirou thought, which is why he didn't focus too much on socializing with his classmates. If he got too emotionally attached and later heard of their deaths, it would only add to his sorrow.
Though for an Uchiha, this wasn't exactly a bad thing.
Stepping out of the ninja school gate, Toshirou slowly walked toward home. As he continued down the path and people dispersed and gathered, a group of Uchiha youths surrounded him.
A large crowd of around 50 people, some from each grade in the ninja school - sometimes up to ten or so, sometimes seven or eight from each grade.
"How did it go, Toshirou? Did you show those guys the might of the Uchiha?" someone said, giving Toshirou a heavy pat on the shoulder and gesturing towards the other side of the road.
On the other side, a larger group of ninja school students gathered, either in groups of twelve to twenty or seven to eight.
Over there were the core members of the Hokage faction, led by Sarutobi and Shimura clans, gathering the Akimichi, Nara, Yamanaka, Inoichi, and Mito clans.
This area was the residential zone for Konoha clans. Since the founding of the village, major ninja clans have congregated here. In the distance were members of the Hyuga, Aburame, Inuzuka, and other clans. However, compared to the Uchiha, their numbers were significantly fewer, with the only exception being the Hyuga, who weren't vastly outnumbered by the Uchiha.
They say school is a microcosm of society. Uchiha Toshirou deeply agreed. Even in the ninja school of an alternate world, where students were only six to twelve years old, they couldn't escape these realities.
Represented by the Hokage, Sarutobi gathered his allies, including clans like Akimichi, Nara, and Yamanaka, effectively forming the Hokage faction with core family members loyal to him.
Led by the Hyuga, the clan ninja group included clans like the Aburame, Inuzuka, Yuuhi, and others.
Then there were the civilian ninja, descendants of ordinary civilians or civilian ninjas.
Lastly, there was the isolated Uchiha clan.
These were the various social circles in the ninja school, fully reflecting the class divides of Konoha Village.
"Such a simple test was a piece of cake, I passed it easily!" Toshirou replied to the Uchiha boy who had spoken to him, his hunting companion from before, Uchiha Yukito.
