Chapter 29 Coincidence

The rest of Takemi's time at the 101 Base in Tsuchiura was to discuss the terms of movement of crystallized mana and his responsibilities as a member of the 101, and by extension, the military.

"So just to reiterate, the shipment of crystallized mana will be delivered to FLT under the guise of you getting your CAD adjusted and be picked up by different members of the 101. I trust that you will remember all the names and faces of your fellow soldiers as well as their Epithets".

Takemi nodded at Kazama's summary, "And I am not to reveal my status as a Special Officer unless ordered to. I am also permitted to use any Military Grade Magic Sequences outside of combat, as long as no harm comes to the opposition. I can also request reinforcements if the situation ever calls for it".

The Major General nodded. It was then that Sanada knocked on the door with a box and a gun shaped CAD in his hands.

"Major General. I have bought the Special Officers uniform, holster and CAD. I have also bought a book on military regulations".

"Good, Captain Sanada".

Takemi received the box with four pairs of clothing in it. Two green uniforms and two white ones. The book that the Captain mentioned was placed on top and Takemi placed the CAD, which was inside the holster on before putting his jacket back on.

"The CAD is just a generalized model, however it contains the specs and hardware of military grade tech, courtesy of the 101. You should use it instead of your Varuna Astra".

He thanked the Captain and the Major General tossed him a burner phone, similar to the one that Tatsuya specified for him to buy.

"This is what I'll use to contact you Special Officer. Always have it on you. I don't see a mission coming up in the foreseeable future but-".

"You can never be too careful Major General".

Kazama gave Takemi one last nod and the latter saluted before exiting the room. Kazama only watched his back and smiled,

'You just might be stronger than "him", Mikazuchi. Although he has both Material Burst and Decomposition, your speed might be quick enough for to activate your Magic before he has a chance to use Gram Demolition.... I really hate having to ask the Ten Master Clans for help anyway....'.

The Major General smiled at the thought of having another Strategic-class Magician in the 101. He was a little bit closer to changing the military's mind on Magicians....

Takemi on the other hand was ecstatic. He had entered the 101 and gained almost all Magic Sequences, save for a few like Decomposition and Material Burst and even though he did want them, he didn't want to look like a Tatsuya copy cat and use his Magic.

He had also kept his identity secret under the alias, "Shiki Aozaki", like Tatsuya and his "Ooguro Ryuuya".

On top of all that, he had gained 50,000 TMP by defeating Yanagi, something that Takemi was particularly proud of.

As he left the building, he gave a quaint nod to Yuga-san who returned it with a smile. Takemi was familiar with the area and took the public train back to Tokyo and got off the stop closest to FLT, only, he met the last person he ever thought to meet on the train.

"Takemi-san!".

He walked onto the train, and standing directly in front of him on the opposite doorway was a certain black haired crimson eyed princess of the Saegusa Family standing next to two younger girls who shared the same facial features.

"Saegusa-san?".

Takemi was stuck. He didn't want to take the next train and there was quite a few people behind him so he got on and stood beside Mayumi giving her a smile.

"Sorry about the case. It's got something pretty important inside".

One of the little girls just waved it off while the other, shorter-haired one glared at Takemi a little bit and held onto her older sisters shirt sticking out her tongue.

"Kasumi! Be a little more respectful".

She girl in question nodded respectfully at her older sister but still kept a watchful eye on Takemi.

"Sorry, we we're heading to FLT today to pick up their CAD and they didn't want to get driven there".

Takemi looked at the two girls and nodded although inwardly sighed

'That's.... a big coincidence... oh well, I'll be a Third Year by the time they enter First High, might as well meet them both here'.

He had his personalized CAD inside the case and a military-grade CAD under his armpit. He was heading to FLT to tell Tatsuya about the shipment of mana crystals and that he should be careful that soldiers would be visiting FLT once a month. Although it wasn't unusual for Magicians in the military to visit, they would be armed and doing business, not for leisure.

"Are you attending First High?".

Hearing the other twins voice, the one with long hair, Takemi was snapped out of his stupor and looked at her and said, "Yes I am. I'm a freshman this year".

The more mature one of the twins nodded before asking again, "How do you know my sister?".

"I was the top scorer in the entrance exam and in turn the freshman representative. All freshman representatives, traditionally join the Student Council. Your sister was the one who informed me of this".

"Ah! I see". The long haired twin smiled and looked at her twin knowingly.

"Do you want to be on the Student Council, Saegusa-san?", said Takemi to the younger girl. He received his answer when the girl beamed and hugged Mayumi's free arm.

"Yes! I want to be just like Mayumi-onee-san!".

Takemi just raised an eyebrow at the public affection and Mayumi tried to pull her arm away from her younger sisters grasp.

"Izumi. C'mon we've got to go. Our stop is up next". The four of them moved from one side of the carriage to the other and left first when the doors opened.

"Where are you headed too Takemi-san?". Asked Mayumi leaning forward a finger on her chin. She appeared cuter in casual dress and made several guys turn their heads and stare at the young woman before quickly averting their eyes when both Kasumi and Izumi glared at them.

"To be honest Saegusa-".

"Call me Mayumi. I think I've said it before... and besides, it would be confusing since there's three of us".

Takemi acknowledged her statement and continued, "I'm actually getting something serviced today. I've got some data that I'd like to run by a friend of mine at FLT. He is the one who gave me this". He knocked his fist on the polycarbonate case drawing the eyes from all three Saegusa.

"Is that....

"A CAD?". asked the twins.

"Yes it is. It's a personal CAD, however it still needs a little fine tuning...".

Mayumi nodded and Kasumi couldn't help but ask, "Could we see it?".

"That's a little rude Kasumi! You just met him and now-".

"I don't mind actually. It's just a little.... unique... so....".

Kasumi nodded and she led them to a rather empty looking park nearby and they all sat down around a table. The younger two, especially Kasumi still glared at Takemi when Mayumi decided to sit beside him but awaited the opening of his case.

"User: Takemi Mikazuchi".

"Ding! ID confirmed. Access granted. Releasing Varuna Astra and Agni Astra".

Mayumi smiled and gave a rather beautiful look at Takemi that said "Really?", while the younger to went wide eyed, Izumi in particular had what appeared to be stars in her eyes.

"This is a "Midnight" Series! This only came out a couple days ago and although it wasn't directly created by him, Taurus Silver is said to have contributed to half of the creation of the CAD series! How did you get one so early!".

Takemi scratched the back of his head.

"Well, I was the one who wanted a CAD designed like this and asked my friend to help make it happen. Apparently they took my request and his specs and made it into a full series".

Izumi went to touch it but refrained when Mayumi slapped her hand.

"Don't touch things that don't-".

"It's fine Mayumi-san. As long as they don't cast any Magic Sequences, it's fine if they pick it up".

The older sisters face went from embarrassed to thankful at Takemi's smile.

'I think I was wrong about him. He might just be a good-'.

"Woah! This is so cool!".

Mayumi's thought process was interrupted when she saw Kasumi pick it up and swing it around with two hands.

"It's got a blade on it and it comes with a Sheath! This is the coolest CAD ever!".

The short haired twin gave to to the long haired one who stroke the spine of the blade and whispered to Varuna Astra.

"Ah! You're so beautiful! One day I hope to have a CAD just like you in the future".

They placed the sword-shaped CAD back in the case before Takemi picked it up and the continued back to FLT. Along the way, Mayumi asked,

"Are you using that for the duel in four days?".

"Yes".

".... I'm sorry that it turned out this way. The fight being a public spectacle and-".

"It's fine Mayumi-san. It's Yuukihira's fault anyway... I still can't believe she put that video on the internet though....".

Mayumi's face turned into a cringe and she gave Takemi a pat on the back.

"Don't worry Takemi-san. When I'm Student Council President next year, I plan on changing a lot during my tenure. You can be sure of that!". She clenched her fists and looked to the sky resolutely, as if trying to become an anime protagonist.

"Well, when that happens, I'll be more than happy to be your second in command Mayumi-san". Takemi kept walking and didn't notice that Mayumi had stopped and was staring right at him.

"You really think so?". She asked.

"Well, yeah. I mean I would like to have you as a Student Council President. I reckon we would be lucky to have you as one. Why? Is something the matter?".

She went a little red in the face before skipping ahead of Takemi with a smile.

"It's nothing! C'mon, we're already late! We've got to get to FLT and get your CAD you two!". Mayumi quickly changed the direction of the conversation joining up with her younger sisters that we several meters in front.

With another sigh, Takemi followed the Saegusa daughters in the direction of a building he could see in the distance.

'Stage 3 is nearly here. We can begin the "Project" soon.... for now I'll just spend sometime with a beautiful and her younger sisters'.
