Prologue

Thousands of years ago, an event occurred that would change the course of the human race forever. Tears in the fabric of reality tore apart across the world, hundreds of thousands of monsters poured out of these tears, laying waste to humanity.

It was only when the survivor's started to harness a special energy that was emitted from the Tear were they able to fight back. Called Flow due to how it flowed from the tear, it was comparable to magic from old fairy tales, as it allowed its wielders to harness the elements and cast spells. After the monsters were either pushed back or slain, brave warriors pushed on into the Tears, finding a world not too dissimilar from the one they just left.

Through their struggles, they were able to protect their own homeworld, and as they explored this world they found tears that led them to more and more worlds, some worlds even containing new species, sentient and insentient. A total of nine worlds were found, although due to the increasing danger of the worlds, only the first two worlds have a major human presence. Most of the remaining worlds are only populated by a small number of humans. Generally found in villages. Due to its danger level, the ninth world is not inhabited by any form of human life.

Travel between worlds is highly restricted to the average person, but a select group of people known as Travellers are allowed free access to cross the Worlds. Travellers take bounties and missions from an organization dedicated to helping those in need. One of the Traveller's primary tasks is dealing with Dungeons formed from the natural Flow of the worlds and gaining the artefact at the end. The protection of these worlds was handed to a group of people that were known as the Protectorate. Eight Protectors for the eight inhabited worlds.
