"...You want him to accompany you to the frontlines?" Nagato asked as he looked at Konan with a frown. He didn't understand what Konan was doing, but looking into her firm eyes he was sure that she wouldn't change her mind.
To him what she was doing was pointless, even Madara's plan was just wasting time and resources. Once they collect all the Bijju there everything they were doing now would be meaningless. He was ready to capture the Bijju alone if it came to it. The only reason he had continued allowing Akatsuki to exist was because of Yahiko.
"Yes, he's a medic and he would be helpful on the frontlines, plus if he's a spy the war would be the perfect time for him to act," Konan spoke. She was ready for an argument but Nagato simply nodded.
"Alright, but he has to wear a mask, Madara and Zetsu are still using his identity to stir some trouble," Nagato spoke.

It's been a week since Ren started learning some more medical Ninjutsu from Tsuande, although he was quite proficient in healing already, Tsunade taught him how to deal with poisons and filter them through the system. While the Yang chakra burns most poisons so he wasn't completely unarmed. Some poisons were more tricky as they attach themselves to blood cells and organs to cause more damage before they are purged.
Konan and the rest of the Jonin have gotten a lot better at using medical ninjutsu but they still had been working with just fishes. For some reason, Konan wasn't here today so he was just supervising the rest of the four Jonins in their attempts to get used to control Yin and Yang chakra.
"Chikara stop," Ren spoke out suddenly but Chikara had already backed away. Some smoke and the smell of burnt flesh came from the wound on the fish. Ren hopped up and quickly flew through the hand seals.

'Mystical Palm Jutsu'
He first expelled the excess Yin chakra from the wound before he quickly healed the fish. The fish started flapping so he threw it back to the tank that was now present in the room. Everyone else was working so he motioned for Chikara to come to his desk.
"So what did you do wrong?" Ren asked.
"Used too much Yang chakra," Chikara replied. He knew where he was having trouble controlling the amount of chakra that left his hands.
"Yes, others are struggling with too little Yang chakra used because they are afraid of messing up. Your problem is that the minimum amount of chakra that you can control is already too much... So where do you think is the problem in our equation?" Ren asked.
"My chakra control is not up to mark." Chikara sighed, he was trying but he just wasn't able to reduce the minimum chakra he could use.
"Good, now what we need to do is to further refine your chakra control, I didn't want to point this out before and demoralize you. But since you have realized we can work on your chakra control, unless... unless you want to stop?" Ren asked.
Chikara pondered for a moment, he hesitated but then he shook his head and spoke, "No, I'll continue."
Seeing the determination in his voice Ren nodded. He looked around trying to find something suitable and then he picked up a shuriken. He unleashed his world and cut out one of the corners of the shuriken by applying wind chakra to his sword.
Chikara's eyes widened at the casual display of high-quality nature transformation. After a few more swings of his swords, Ren stared at the small square piece of metal and then looked toward everyone else.
"Alright everyone's working so it's just you and me," Ren spoke. He waited for a few seconds to see if anyone finished but then he lifted his palm and placed the piece of metal on his hand.
"I have already taught you this method before right, you send small bursts of chakra from your hands and slowly let the piece of metal float over your hand." Ren started. The metal floated to just about 6 inches above his hand.
"Now when you do this exercise you follow the instructions properly, but when you do it your metal piece hovers around somewhere here..." Ren spoke and the piece of metal slowly lifted to 8 inches above his hand.
"This happens when you can't properly control the minimum amount of chakra that leaves your hand. Now this is metal, what we were trying before was with stones. Metal is a little heavier so we need to recalibrate your limits again. But just to make sure you see what is required, you need to make sure this particular piece of metal hovers just above here..." Ren carefully manipulated his chakra and the piece of metal over 5 inches above his hands.
"Now instead of trying the same rhythmic approach that I have taught, first you need to get used to emitting less chakra. So we will go back to the basic and you'll-" Ren paused as he sensed Konan coming into his range.
"You'll use continuous chakra emission to control this until it just hovers 1 inch over your hand..." Ren showed him how to do it before he flicked the metal at him.
"Alright, I understand!" Chikara spoke as he gave Ren a grateful look.
"Teach it to others later as well, get your chakra control as tight as possible. It would make learning Mystical Palm Jutsu as well." Ren finished just in time as Konan walked through the doors.
He gave her a questioning look to which she nodded at him and told everyone else, "That's enough practice for today, leave!"
Her order was swiftly carried out and 4 Body flickers later Ren and Konan were the only two left in the room. Ren gave Konan a confused look as he walked over to the fish and quickly started healing them.
"What happened?" Ren asked.
"Suna has started to breach our border again. We need to move." Konan spoke as she watched Ren heal the 3 fish and plop them into the tank one by one.
"We?" Ren asked.
"Yeah, you will act as my bodyguard. During the time of the war, you'll address me as Hanzo-sama." Konan ordered.
"Understood," Ren nodded. He was thinking that he would escape this war with his real body but it looks like he won't have that chance.
Before he could do anything, Konan threw a blank white mask at him. Ren stared at the blank mask and gave her a questioning look.
"We don't want the Kazekage to turn his attention to us. So you have to wear the mask at all times outside the village." Konan spoke.
Ren nodded, he still chuckled at the irony of this situation. He was participating in this war, from two different sides and from both sides under a mask.
"When are we leaving?" Ren asked.
"Tomorrow!"
