Slow Yet Mesmerizing.

He was feeling greatly relieved that Yao Yin would not pursue the matter.

“Ji Yao’s identity should have been kept a secret for the time being,” he thought.

At the same time, he took a look at Yao Yin and Mei Qi and smiled.

“Alas, letting these two know about Ji Yao is not really a bad thing…” he said inwardly.

“Pfft,” an involuntary chuckle suddenly sounded out from his mouth.

This sudden reaction caused Yao Yin and Mei Qi to become confused.

The two of them were completely unknown as to why Haoyu was laughing at this kind of time.

Just a moment before Mei Qi asked what was happening with Haoyu, Yao Yin suddenly said, “H-heyy, I didn’t make you turn crazy, r-right Mei Qi?” She said with a panicked tone.

Seeing her panicked reaction, Mei Qi calmly answered, “You definitely did not, Young Lady, so you should calm yourself down first.”

Haoyu looked annoyed on the surface, but in his heart, he felt some sort of warmth by being at these two sides.

“Alright, enough with your overreaction. I haven’t turned crazy yet. I’m kind of hungry, so how about we go eat somewhere before we go back home?” Haoyu suddenly asked.

Yao Yin, who was panicking before, turned relieved. “Phew,” she let out a relieved breath.

“If you wanted to eat, then I know a really good place that I’m certain would suit your appetite,” she suddenly said.

Hearing her suggestion, Haoyu showed a surprised look. “Ohh?” A small voice accidentally escaped his mouth.

“It better be as good as you said, otherwise-.” He added with a strange smile clearly showing on his face.

“Don’t worry, it really is a good restaurant. Everyone here likes it too,” Yao Yin replied with a smirk.

“How about you, Mei Qi?” she added as she slowly turned her head to Mei Qi.

Upon her sudden question, Mei Qi was startled. “E-eh m-me? E-ehem… I’ll just follow the young master. If he’s fine with it, then so am I.”

Yao Yin smiled before saying, “Alright, then it’s already been decided! We’ll head to Myriad Star Restaurant!”

“Myriad Star Restaurant?” Haoyu pondered for a moment before chuckling. “She surely is energetic,” he muttered in a low voice.

Without wasting any more time, the three of them set off on foot to the restaurant that was about fifteen minutes away from their current location.

Fifteen minutes had already passed in the blink of an eye.

And now, they had finally arrived at the restaurant. A huge and tall building stood firmly in front of them.

An exquisite banner was hung on top of its door.

“Myriad Star Restaurant.”

That was the sentence written on the banner.

As of this moment, both Haoyu and Mei Qi were left in awe. Since they were both first-timers, it was natural for them to react this way.

But this was a different case for Yao Yin since she had been to this restaurant several times before. So instead of showing the same expression, she had a completely different expression.

A proud smile was shown on her face as clear as broad daylight.

“Hehe,” a small sound came out of her mouth.

Without further ado, the three of them made their way inside the building.

As soon as they stepped inside, both Yao Yin and Mei Qi were filled with more awe than earlier.

The surroundings were filled with luxurious decorations and lots of artifacts were placed nearly everywhere. Not only that, there was also a small fish pond at the corner of the building on the first floor.

“So, how was it?” A voice suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

“W-woa, this is surely not your ordinary place to eat,” Haoyu suddenly said.

Followed by Mei Qi, who was deeply impressed by how beautiful the interior of the building is, “The food here must be very expensive, right? Are you sure to eat here, Lady Yao Yin?” She voiced out her thoughts.

“Well, it will surely be expensive, but don’t worry, you two can order what you want to eat. Everything is on me!” Yao Yin proudly said as she was looking for a table.

While the three of them were too engrossed in talking, a calming and soothing melody suddenly sounded out of nowhere.

“Shh, quiet! Can you hear that?” Haoyu was the first to notice the sound.

Yao Yin and Mei Qi then immediately shut their mouths without asking. Seconds later, the previous calming and soothing melody could be heard echoing throughout the entire place again.

“Ahh! I’m sure of it, someone must be playing a musical instrument nearby,” he thought.

“And come to think of it, this kind of melody can only be produced by a zither. Could it be there is a zither expert here?” He pondered.

Meanwhile, for Yao Yin, her face turned completely surprised upon hearing the melody that she heard.

“Ehh, this song? Could it be Senior Sister Hua? It should be her. There is no one from the sect who can play this song perfectly other than her,” she suddenly said.

“Come with me! She should be sitting near the pond,” she said while her finger pointed towards the fish pond.

The three of them then instantly walked towards the fish pond.

The beautifully played song slowly gets louder as they get closer to the pond.

In the blink of an eye, they reached the fish pond. In front of them, a beautiful and graceful girl was clearly visible playing an instrument near the pond.

She was sitting near the pond with a shining black instrument that looked like the sky on a cool summer night. Coaxing impossibly soothing and amazing melodies from it. With her eyes closed, she seemed lost as her fingers strummed over the strings like swallows darting in a pond for fish.

The restaurant turned completely silent as the song was being played. As of this moment, everybody was focusing on the beautifully played song. There was absolutely no sound other than the melodies produced by the instrument.

Moments and moments later, the melodies slowly get slower and slower, indicating that the song has come closer to its end.

And finally, the song was ended by a sweet melody, slow yet mesmerizing, which resulted in my heart beating faster than usual.

As for this moment, the song has completely stopped, but I could still feel the vibrations tingling on my skin, cheekbone, and also my hair.

That girl slowly opened up her eyes and looked at Haoyu. She smiled brightly at him, making his heart leap out of his chest.
