Damien's eyes sparkled with joy as he watched Cinderella transform into a princess with the help of her fairy godmother. He was entranced by these fairy tale cartoons, feeling a sense of familiarity and longing.
He wished for a fairy godmother of his own, to rescue him and his mother from the abuse inflicted by his monster of a father. He longed for his mother to experience the same happiness as the fairytale princesses, as she was just as beautiful.
