Goblin Attack Part 2

When Hina heard his sound, she tried to react. But her movement wasn't enough. She could only burst out her Qi and fire it up.

Splash! Boom!

But just a second before she could ignite her Qi, she was devastatingly stabbed in the back.

Her flame instantly burned the Goblin that was able to sneak attack her.

But, it couldn't stop the knife. It had already pierced her back.

[Crimson Destruction]

Shin blasted the goblins around him with the Crimson Destruction while he also fell under the explosion.

But, the next moment, he dashed out of the explosion without any burnt mark.

He was trying to get to her as soon as possible.

In an instant, he reached in front of her.

"Hina, let me help you!"

He quickly took her near the place where they had kept their bags during the battle. Because they were suddenly attacked by the goblins, Shin had no choice but to throw those bags in a general direction.

He quickly opened the bag but instead of taking out the bandages, he took out a couple of short knives.

"Die!"

His expression instantly turned ferocious as he held those knives in his hand and turned around. He threw the first knife at great speed.

Splash!

The knife pierced something and only when the blood came out, the invisibility of the goblin disappeared.

"Now, you want to run away?"

Shin's eyes were deadly serious. He snorted and quickly started throwing those knives in the direction where he could hear the sound.

Splash! Splash! Ding! Ding!

While few goblins managed to Blok the knife, others weren't so lucky. He threw nearly six knives and only two of them managed to block it.

[Crimson Bullets]

In an instant, he condensed his Qi into his finger and released a spark. The Qi turned into a flame beam that moved towards those remaining goblins at a great speed.

Boom! Boom!

Upon on colliding against them, those beams exploded and covered the goblins inside the explosion.

After he finished killing those invisible goblins, he left the rest for Barry while he quickly started searching for bandages on the bag.

Because of blood flow, Hina was slowly losing consciousness. Thankfully, she had enough Qi to constantly stabilize her blood otherwise she would've run out of blood.

He quickly tore apart her upper dress. Hina neither had the courage nor strength to stop him.

He bandaged her wound and finally took out his coat. He puts it above her upper body and finally asks her to sleep.

"Shin, how is she?" Barry who finished killing the last of the goblins instantly rushed toward her and asked.

Shin quickly blocked his view and said.

"I have bandaged her. It will take her some time to recover."

Although he was confused at first about why he blocked him, he understood it quickly and nodded his head.

But, his eyes suddenly turned unfriendly as he asked.

"You knew those invisible goblins' positions. Why didn't you remind her earlier?"

At first, he thought it was just a coincidence that Shin discovered them but when he saw Shin killing those invisible goblins in a row, he found that he was wrong about it.

He didn't understand why Shin would sacrifice his friend just to kill those goblins.

Shin wasn't offended by his tone or unfriendly gaze. He knew that it was easy to misunderstand so he calmly explained.

"Although I was able to perceive them, I can only do it whenever they make a move. Because I have sensitive hearing, I can easily hear any kind of sound. But, if they don't make any sound, it would be harder for me to find them."

"When that goblin was coming near her, I couldn't hear his movements at all. Only when he took out the knife and stabbed her, I heard the airflow of that goblin."

"As for the others, I only managed to find one because he was also trying to attack me just like the previous one. After I killed it, I sensed other movements as well. Presumably, they thought I could see them."

"So, when they moved in a hurry, I was able to hear the airflow and pinpoint their locations. These goblins aren't dumb. The fact that I had to catch them off guard just to kill them speaks of their intelligence."

When Barry heard his explanation, he was a bit ashamed. His face turned red as he lowered his head and apologized.

"Shin, I am sorry for doubting you."

Hearing his apology, Shin shook his head and said.

"You are not at fault. I was the one to blame for that sneak attack. I overestimated my strength and their cunningness. If only I had kept my SuperHearing at its maximum, it wouldn't have happened."

He gritted his teeth and clenched his fist.

"I promised Village Chief to protect her but in the first battle, she almost died. But, don't worry. I won't let my partners die. I will not make this kind of mistake again."

Hearing his words, Barry suddenly felt a bit disturbed. Before he could say anything, Shin continued.

"From now on, leave the fighting to me. Just focus on protecting yourself and Hina."

Barry suddenly felt depressed. But, he didn't say anything to him. Right now, he had the feeling that talking to Shin wouldn't get him any results.

"Since we are still inside the Goblin Forest, let's continue our journey. Let's try to cross this forest before evening."

Shin turned his head at Barry and spoke while walking toward Hina.

Because she was unconscious, the natural action would be to rest but right now, he couldn't afford to rest.

Barry wanted to say something but he also realized the danger of spending the night inside a forest where Goblins can turn invisible.

So, he followed Shin in this idea.

Shin picked up Hina on his back while Barry held all of the baggage.

They continued their journey toward the River of Silent.

On the way, they didn't encounter any Invisible Goblins but did counter quite a lot of normal goblins.

It was during evening when they finally saw the edge of the forest.

"Man, that was a harsh journey. Shin, do you think we will face these kinds of situation more in the future?" Barry let out of sigh of relief upon seeing the border and asked.

"Yes! Don't forget there are different kinds of regions based on the Sacred Ground. This region is rather normal. If we were on the Fire Region or Ice Region, with our strength, we would either turn into pile of ash or a popsicle."

Shin nodded his head and answered.

"Shin, the way you speak is always so serious. It makes even more scared. By the way, you don't have a crow mouth, do you?" Barry shivered as he asked.

Shin gave him a glare and turned his head away. He noticed some movements in his back and knew that Hina was already up but she hasn't spoken a word.

This made him a bit concerned.

"Hina, are you alright? Is something bothering you?"

Hina didn't expect Shin to knew that she was awake. It almost caught her off guard but she quickly shook her head and said.

"No, no, I am just not feeling good right now."

She said while putting her head on his shoulder. For some reason, she felt incredibly happy while riding his back.

But, at the same time, she was also a bit worried.

It was the first time they left the village. It was supposed to be the easiest region.

But she was already injured. This made her incredibly worried. Fortunately, she didn't hear his previous conversation with Barry or else, she would've died from anxiety.

Although Shin got the answer, he found that her mood was a bit off. Although Hina wasn't a hyper active girl, she would always have a smile on her face.

Right now, he could hear her heartbeat that was beating too fast. Originally, he thought it was because he was holding her in his back.

After all, he knew that she liked him.

But, this kind of feeling slowly fades away after few minutes. Not to mention, it has been a long time since she woke up.

She also seemed quite comfortable on his back, so she even put her head on his shoulder and tried to sleep.

If she was shy or ashamed, she wouldn't have done that.

That's why he was sure that Hina was feeling negative.

He tried to think of the negative emotions that she could possibly have right now. And, one word came to his mind.

Fear!

She was afraid.

He continued to think about it. And, soon, he got the answer as well.

She was afraid of facing him. She was afraid that he wouldn't like her strength and ask her to return. Because she made a mistake in their first encounter after they started their journey.

After understanding her mood, Shin spoke.

"Barry, do you think we can find a forger in the City of Desert?"

"Why? Do you want to make a weapon before we enter the Sacred Ground?"

"Yeah! I am afraid that if I don't get injured in the battle, I will forget my fighting style. I love fighting like a berserker. What do you think? Isn't it cool?"

As soon as he said, Hina suddenly remembered that fight and immediately shouted. She even went as far as to pinch his stomach.

"No, you are not allowed to fight like that. You mustn't fight like that, understand?"
