"Yes, that's what I said, but it's up to me how to plead. I have something going on, so I'll get going first." Owen turned and walked out.
"No, you lied to me. You can't leave." Eric saw that Owen was going to leave. He stood up to pull him.
But before he could touch Owen, he was stopped by the bodyguard beside him.
As he walked out of the hotel lobby, Owen calmed down a little. He still felt incredulous. So the person who had instructed Eric all this time was Joan, the last person he had expected.
"Owen, why are you calling me?"
After calming down, Owen called Joan. "It's okay. It's just that something happened at the company recently. I'm a little annoyed, so I called you to talk," Owen said to Joan on the other end of the phone.
"Did something happen? Where are you now? I'll go look for you."
"Well, I'm at the MGM Grand Hotel now. I'll wait for you here. Come on," Owen said after a moment of thought.
