The nurse looked with a surprised expression at the young boy. Truth be told, she had heard about the mysterious 'new transfer' student that was brought in by one of the school benefactors over the weekend and was admitted through these VIP connections. She had not seen his profile and hadn't even known his name beforehand.
Yet, the boy was friendly, he acted and spoke in a clear, concise, and eloquent manner. He had not faked his respect, he was genuine with how he expressed himself, unlike the haughty, arrogant créme, the upper echelons of the student body.
There was no sign of corruption in his demeanor, nor in his stature. Even if he was backed by some powerful family -and he had to be, to be able to get admitted in such a special way-, he did not show that arrogance at all.
He was humble and respectful, which is not just rare, but almost non-existent in this day and age. He genuinely cared about this poor, unlucky kid that suffered such a trauma.
