Training

Namaru gives Shirane a wide smile and nods, then turns and runs out onto the dock, facing the lake.

"Okay, dad. Im ready."

Shirane walks out onto the dock, himself, and stands next to Namaru.

"Let's hope so. I'll be showing you Water Style: Raging Waves. It's an C-Rank Jutsu, and more commonly used by Chunin."

Namaru gives his dad a strange look.

"Why would you show me a Chunin-level jutsu? I'm not even in school yet."

Shirane gives Namaru a smile before responding.

"Because I believe you can do it. You've mastered the Fire Ball Justu to the point that you can fire it without thinking. Just like this justu, the Fire Ball is C-Rank. Now, I want you to be able to do the same with this jutsu. If you can master the Fire Ball, you can master this."

Namaru nods at Shirane, and he continues.

"Let's begin, Namaru."

Shirane begins weaving hand seals: Dragon → Tiger → Hare, and screams before taking a deep breath.

"Water Style: Raging Waves!"

A gout of water erupts out of Shirane's mouth and forward toward the lake. The water flows over the surface of the water, and finally settles. It appears as if nothing at all has happened, and it is completely unchanged. Shirane turns to Namau with a cocky smile before speaking.

"Wanna give that a try?"

Namaru simply looks up at his dad with a astounded look, then nods vigorously with a goofy smile on his face. Shirane chuckles and shakes his head before taking a step back, and gesturing with his hands toward the lake. Namaru walks forward and takes his place, and begins weaving the same hand seals Shirane used, albeit slowly, but he does it: Dragon → Tiger → Hare. He weaves his right hand into a half Tiger seal, and places it near his mouth. He takes a deep breath in and mentally screams.

'Water Style: Raging Waves!'

Namaru exhales sharply through his mouth, focusing his air into a tight torrent. From within his mouth a decent-sized gout of water erupts, about half the size of Shirane's. Upon impact with the lake's surface, the impact forms a small wave, and sends it fling across the water to the shore on the other side of the lake. This act surprises Shirane, and his eyes widen before he applauds Namaru.

"Well done, Namaru. You really ARE a water affinity, aren't you? That blast had a lot of power, more than my own."

Namaru looks at Shirane confused.

"But mine was smaller."

"True, but it was also thinner, and more focused, which gave it the impact power that it had. It created a wave, Namaru. You're much stronger than you think."

Suddenly a voice is heard nearby.

"No, he isn't."

Shirane turns to see Sasuke dropping out of a nearby tree. Once he hits the ground, Sasuke continues speaking.

"That power isn't his. It belongs to that beast you sealed in him. I tried supressing it, but it has already taken it's toll on Namaru's body, replacing his chakra with its own. Now there's no choice but to leave it be."

Shirane finishes Sasuke's thought.

"He's already started using the beasts chakra."

Namaru suddenly jumps in.

"Why does everyone keep calling me a 'beast' and a 'monster'? I'm not a monster!"

Namaru runs away with tear-filled eyes. Shirane flickers in front of his to stop him in his tracks, but Namaru quickly jumps back, weaves a few hand seals, and launches a giant Fire Ball out of his mouth. Shirane has no choice but to block it, so he uses the Raging Waves. While the water snuffs the flames, a cloud of steam is created. Once the steam clears, both Sasuke and Namaru are gone. Suddenly, Sasuke walks out from behind a nearby tree dragging Namaru behind him by the wrist. He stands Namaru in front of his father, and looks at Shirane.

"If you don't tell him, Shirane, I will."

Shirane sighs and kneels in front of Namaru, and looks him in the eyes before speaking.

"I have something to tell you, Namaru."

Namaru looks at Shirane, all ears, then Shirane continues.

"It's not YOU we're referring to as the monster or beast. The day you were born, a beast attacked the Mist Village. Myself, along with the other Ninja swordsmen, fought it off, but couldn't think of anything to do with it, so in order to stop it from attacking the Village again, it was sealed...in you. That beast is known as the 6-Tails. Ever since that day, the beat has been siphoning your chakra, and replacing it with its own. Now, every time you use a jutsu, you're not using your own chakra. You're using the 6-Tails chakra. You don't seem to have any of your own natural chakra left, and if you do, it isn't much."

Namaru interjects.

"So, I was made into a monster...by you?"

Shirane vigorously shakes his head.

"No. You're not a monster. It seems, quite frankly, neither is the 6-Tails, or it would have taken over long ago. It doesn't seem to have a desire to control your body. We're thinking maybe it's not like the other tailed beasts. It seems to want to help you."

Finally understanding, Namaru starts wearing a wide grin.

"So, I could be stronger than you?"

Shirane nods.

"Fairly easily, yes. Now go home to your mother. She probably has lunch ready, and don't mention anything we have talked about. Understand?"

Namaru nods and runs home, still grinning. Shirane stands up and looks at Sasuke.

"You call that not his power? The 6-Tails can't use Fire Style. It is strictly Water Style. That Fire Ball was his natural chakra. May have been boosted by the 6-Tails, but couldn't have been much. It was made to cancel Fire Style jutsu, not enhance it. Plus, you saw what else happened right?"

Sasuke scoffs.

"I was wondering when you were going to bring it up. Yes, I saw his 3-tomoe Sharingan awaken during that Fire Ball. He knew what you were going to do, yet he still tried."

Shirane interrupts.

"You don't get it, Sasuke. That Fire Ball annihilated my Raging Waves. I had to quickly follow it with a Water Dragon to stop it."

"I saw. I was observing with my Sharingan. I bet Namaru saw it, too. He knows he overpowered you during that exchange. Better not let it get through to his head."

Sasuke disappears, and Shirane scowls and pouts before heading back home. By the time he gets there, Namaru has already eaten lunch, dinner, and is asleep. Sarada has a plate sitting aside in the microwave for Shirane, still warm. Shirane turns to see Sarada walking down the stairs. He opens in conversation.

"We need to talk about today's training with Namaru."

Sarada looks both confused and concerned.

"What's wrong? What did he do?"

"He didn't do anything wrong, he is just getting far too strong. Today, he released a Fire Ball toward me in a fit of rage, and I had to use both Raging Waves and a follow up Water Dragon, because the Fire Ball was so strong Raging Waves didn't hardly phase it. There's something else..."

Sarada cocks her head to the side like a curious puppy.

"What's that?"

Shirane drops his voice into a hushes tone.

"He awakened a 3-Tomoe Sharingan. From what you told me, that only happened once with Sasuke. Don't tell me he has permanently awakened the 3-Tomoe from that event?"

Sarada hangs her head.

"It's true."

Shirane cups her face in his hands, and gives her a gentle look.

"Then I'll leave it to you to teach him how to master it. I can't teach him about that since I don't possess the Sharingan. Starting in 2 days from now, I wish for you to teach him to control it."

Shirane lets go of Sarada's face, and she looks over to Shirane before responding.

"Why wait 2 days? Why not let him start tomorrow?"

"I wish for him to master the techniques he currently knows before he continues. It's clear he already has mastered the Fire Ball Jutsu, but he, now, needs to learn to master the Raging Waves. I don't want to teach him too much too quickly."

A smirk forms on Sarada's face as she responds.

"You're afraid he'll pass you, aren't you?"

Shirane lets out a long sigh, before turning to Sarada.

"Nothing gets past you, huh? Maybe it's time I actually face facts. The next generation of ninja is meant to surpass the one before, that's how it works. I just don't want it to be this soon in his life. He's only 5 years old, and he already has access to his own custom Dojutsu that we know nothing of, the 3-Tomoe Sharingan, the signature Uchiha Clan Fire Ball Jutsu, a Water Style jutsu, and access to his Tailed Beasts chakra. Oh, and we can't forget your dad also gave him the Rinnegan, which, need I remind you, is one of the strongest Dojutsu known to man. He's already in a totally different league than us, we just haven't accepted it, yet. By the time he's a Genin, he might be able to take me in a one-on-one fight with relative ease, especially if he learns how to use the Rinnegan. As far as I'm concerned, he can never learn how to use his Sharingan, or his Rinnegan, but the facts are the facts. There's no denying he will get stronger than us, if he isn't already."

Sarada quickly tries to calm down Shirane.

"Calm down. It's fine, Shirane. Yes, he will get stronger than us. There's no avoiding it. So why not sooner rather than later? Whether he grows too quickly or too slowly, it's still going to happen, regardless. I'll take his training from here to relieve stress from you. I'll wait a couple days and begin teaching him how to master his Sharingan. After that, I'll have him use his Sharingan to learn Chidori. whether or not he masters it is up to him. Don't forget, everything we're teaching him, we've already taught Inaga. Inaga could quite easily take Namaru at any given state of his life. No matter how strong Namaru gets, Inaga could still beat him-"

Shirane interjects.

"Until Namaru masters his Rinnegan."

Sarada jumps back in.

"IF Namaru even learns he has it, period."

Shirane sighs and hangs his head.

"If we don't tell him about it, your father will, Sarada, and will probably teach him how to use it. Considering he's one only person in the world who CAN teach him about it, he'd be the one doing it regardless. Face facts. Namaru will get much stronger, and could probably surpass Naruto and Sasuke, but you go right on ahead and teach him your overpowered techniques. While you're at it, go ahead teach him all of our weaknesses, too, that way he has no competition."

Shirane grabs his sword, and flickers away to God knows where, leaving Sarada distressed and in tears. Namaru hears his mother crying, and goes downstairs to comfort her, but she turns him away.

"Go back to bed, Namaru. Tomorrow, we start the real training.

Namaru goes back to bed, and is woken up early the next morning by Sarada, who almost literally drags him to the training grounds.

"Today, I'm teaching you how to master another of your Uchiha powers. Actually, there are 2."

Namaru gives his mother a strange look, and inquires.

"What are they?"

Sarada smirks a little before continuing.

"Well, for starters, Does your vision sometimes go blurry, yet you can still see clearly what your opponent is doing?"

Namaru nods and responds.

"Yeah. I know I wasn't meant to tell you this but, yesterday that happened in a fight with dad. I saw him use a jutsu before he actually used it."

Sarada smirks before replying.

"That is the Sharingan. It allows you to see your enemies movements ahead of time and stop them. With it, you can also memorize and learn jutsu with a single glance, and cast seamless Genjutsu. Before you ask, Genjutsu is all about illusion. It is used to trick the opponent; make them think something is happening when it really isn't. You can also evolve your Sharingan into a Mangekyou Sharingan. At that point, it will take on a unique pattern, and grant you access to even further abilities; one in each eye. Some users have been given the same ability in both eyes, just to a different extent in each. It just depends on the user. Just be careful how much you use it, because if you use it too much, you'll go blind. A way around that is to evolve your Mangekyou into an Eternal Mangekyou, but enough of that. Today, though, I'm teaching you to master the standard 3-Tomoe Sharingan."

Namaru looks at Sarada, ready to learn.

"It seems, in the past, you have awakened it during special occasions, be it memorization, or through emotion. I'm going to reveal to you my own 3-Tomoe Sharingan, and I will need you to look at it with your Kirokugan. I believe your eyes may change into the Sharingan. If your vision goes funny, I'll need you to focus all of your chakra into keeping it that way for as long as you can. Eventually, you'll have full mastery of it, and can use it whenever you please."

Namaru nods before replying.

"Okay. Let's do it."

Sarada nods, and kneels in front of Namaru before activating her 3-Tomoe Sharingan. Her and Namaru make direct eye contact, and after a couple seconds, both of Namaru's eyes reveal a 3-Tomoe Sharingan. His vision immediately goes blurry, and Sarada backs up before sternly speaking.

"Now, focus your chakra into it. Once you think you have a steady basic control, I'll put it to the test."

Namaru weaves his hands into the Ram Seal, and focuses his chakra to his eyes. He's able to hold his Sharingan for 5 minutes before it fades, but his control was wavering. As soon as the Sharingan fades, Namaru hears a voice.

'Try again. I'll help you.'

Namaru thinks he's hearing things, and waves the words away, but tries again, nonetheless. Now that he has a basic understanding on how to activate his Sharingan, he puts his understanding to the test, and closes his eyes. He opens them again to reveal his 3-Tomoe Sharingan. He quickly begins channeling chakra into his eyes, but this time, his chakra feels different, somehow; stronger; more dense. After a couple seconds, he finds that he doesn't have to try at all to keep his Sharingan going. He looks up at his mom with a wide smirk printed across his face. Sarada is in complete shock by what she's seeing. She uses her own Sharingan to see that Namaru is painted in a pale blue, almost pure white, aura. She recognizes, immediately, that this is the 6-Tails chakra. She, herself, begins to smile, knowing that Namaru and the 6-Tails are getting along, although Namaru doesn't know it yet. She plainly states with a follow-up question.

"You seem to learn quick. Ready to put that to the test?"

Namaru quickly gives Sarada a singular nod, before taking a defensive stance. Sarada reaches behind her and grabs 6 kunai in one hand, and 6 shuriken in the other, two between each finger. She jumps back, and throws them in a way that causes the kunai to bounce off the shuriken, and head straight for Namaru. Namaru jumps back, and without using any hand seals at all, he releases a Fire Ball from his mouth that melts the kunai, and stops them in their tracks. Something Namaru didn't take into account were that Sarada had wires attached to the remaining shuriken. She pulls he arms inward, and Namaru is ensnared in the wires, at least until he releases a fireball from his mouth toward Sarada. She is forced to use a substitution to get away, while still having Namaru tangled up. She walks out into the open toward Namaru before speaking.

"That was pretty good. You even made me use a substitution. Had I used my own Sharingan, you would have lost even quicker."

Suddenly, Namaru turns into a log, leaving Sarada dazed for a second. He copied her substitution technique...with help from the 6-Tails, of course. Namaru, then, runs out of a nearby bush toward his mother, and stabs her in the leg, just for her to substitute away, and appear behind Namaru, wrapping her arms around him, trapping him in a full nelson, finally able to claim victory.

"I didn't expect you to copy my technique. That was clever. You really are Sasuke's grandson."

Namaru admits defeat, and he makes his Sharingan fade, for Sarada to add in.

"I see you can deactivate it at will, too. You're way too quick of a learner."

Namaru smiles widely at Sarada's comment, before replying, himself.

"Didn't you say there were a couple things you were going to teach me?"

Sarada hold up her index finger.

"I was just getting to that, Namaru. Next..."

Sarada weaves 6 hand seals: Monkey → Dragon → Rat → Bird → Ox → Snake → Dog → Tiger → Monkey, and lightning begins to cover her right hand.

"...is Chidori."
