Haven’s POV
There is hustling and bustling all around me. I feel the back of my brain wanting to step in and help the bartenders and the waitresses, but I can’t.
This isn’t my workplace.
This isn’t my job.
This is a date.
A genuine date with a guy who I have never met before until today.
Daisy, my best friend, decided it would be a good idea to set me up with a guy and, honestly, I should have known better. Daisy has this idea about what my taste in men is and, unfortunately for this guy, he is not fitting the bill. He may be partially my type, but he is also as exciting as growing grass.
We met at the restaurant since I needed to finish up a few things at my work before the date. It was just a quick walk down the road to the place where we were going to go eat. It was also advantageous because both of us had early mornings and wanted to beat the dinner rush, so we were at the place before a lot of other people.
