A calm yet smug tone laced her words as she taunted him, noting his dishevelled appearance.

"So, it is you, Pseudo-Sorcerer Night Shade... It seems your encounter with my leader did not go too well for you," she remarked with a mocking edge. She did not seem worried that August might have also been in danger. It did not cross her mind at all. August's image in her head was one of invincibility.

Night Shade's response lacked anger, instead carrying an air of calculated cruelty. Acknowledging Claire's observation, he confirmed her suspicions.
