Chapter 46. A True Love and High Grudge

Meanwhile, the situation outside the mansion is quite chaotic.

The nobles inside the ballroom party didn't notice at all because the music been played very loud with a high note.

The nobles are still enjoying the party.

Even Master Gregory himself doesn't hear the chaos outside.

All the soldiers outside are struggling with their lives to defend this mansion.

Ivan feels that something bad is happening outside.

But, he still quite not sure of it.

So, he ended up just staying quiet in the edge of the wall and keep an eye on Lady Anastasia as his duty as Lady Anastasia's bodyguard.

Then Lady Marinka, Russia's greatest singer goes to the piano and replaces Sergei to performs her singing vocal performance and as a sign that the ballroom dance is going to begin.

Immediately ,all ladies and gentlemen are ready in their positions.

Lord Nicolas bows and kisses Lady Lyudmilla on her right hand and says ,"Excuse me, Lady Lyudmilla, after this, i have a dance with my fiance."

And then, before he left her ,Lord Nicolas whispers in her right ear ,she says ,"After this, wait for me near the ballroom exit door."

Lady Lyudmilla blushes and replies ,"Yes, my lord."

And then, Lord Nicolas left her.

After that, a young gentleman named Lord Mikhail Gagarin approaches towards Lady Lyudmilla.

Lord Mikhail is Lady Lyudmilla's brother.

Lord Mikhail holds Lady Lyudmilla's arm and says towards her ,"Lyudmilla ,what are you doing with the lord duke? hmm..."

Lady Lyudmilla says ,

"Its nothing, brother"

Then, Lord Mikhail holds her arm much harder with his grip that makes Lyudmilla feels a pain in her arm.

Lady Lyudmilla just holds her pain and she doesn't want to scream ,so his brother doesn't got in trouble.

Because his brother is the only family member she has left.

She always let herself got hurt by his own brother ,because she doesn't want to make trouble between siblings.

And then ,Lord Mikhail says ,"Don't get near him ,he is the Tsar's son ,he is one of his child. Remember ,sister ,the Tsar is the one who made our beloved parents disappeared ,thats why we want to find them ,we both knew that crowned old hag had done something towards our parents. So, that's why i planned everything for this very moment that we finally could meet the Tsar. But damn it ,he doesn't come ,instead it is his first son ,Prince Alexey as his substitute. So ,i told you to seduce Prince Alexey. Not that masked Tsar's bastard son."

Then Lady Lyudmilla replies,

"I have no grudges and i have no intention to have a vengeance towards the Tsar ,i just want to find a true gentleman that i could love and live with him and have a peaceful life. And plus ,i have no interest towards Prince Alexey ,i want to get closer towards the lord duke ,Lord Nicolas ,he's a charming and polite gentleman."

Then ,Lord Mikhail replies ,"Charming? ,he just wearing a mask and he even never shows his true face at all towards the public ,is like you have a liking towards a ghost."

After that, Lady Lyudmilla got frustrated and so ,she steps Mikhail's foot.

And then ,Lady Lyudmilla's arm is released from his grip and then ,she says ,"Don't you dare mock the lord duke ,i like him ,unlike you ,always hurt a woman like me ,a true gentleman appreciates and takes care of a lady. Lord Nicolas might be the Tsar's bastard son ,but he is not a bastard ,you are ,you are the true bastard ,brother."

Then, Lady Lyudmilla quickly leaves his brother.

Lord Mikhail just let her go and says ,"Foolish sister i have ,fine i will avenge our parents myself and then let see whose the bastard. I had prepared everything for this moment. My assassins are outside the mansion making chaos within the soldier guards and all my assassins had surrounded the entire layer part of this mansion so no one could get out from here ,then my next move of my plan is to make a deal with the first prince. I'll make sure you regret what you did to my parents ,you crowned old hag."

Lord Mikhail is the director of the assassin organization called ,

"Mir Monstrov"

(means "Monster World" in Latin) ,it is because the assassins are like monsters ,always murdered people without feelings and thats why all assassins used a codename of Russian monsters to hide their identity.

Lady Anastasia says towards Lord Edgar, "My apologies, Lord Edgar, but now its my time to have a dance with my fiance. I enjoyed our conversation, thank you."

Lord Edgar replies, "Oh, sure."

Finally, all of the nobles including Lord Nicolas and Lady Anastasia are ready in their positions for the dance.

Then, Lady Marinka starts to sing and plays the piano.

And at the same time ,they also begin to dance.
