Noticing that an argument between the two youths was about the start, the citizens scattered. Alaric noted that only about half of them went in the direction of the village gates.

'This annoying kid scared away my villagers!' Alaric thought, clearly displeased.

As his blond ponytail swung in response to the laughter erupting from his being, the noble aggressor continued, "Although you're ability won't produce lies, someone with as weak of an ability as yourself has no choice but to lie! How else would a peasant with a weak ability rise up in the world?"

Alaric stared at him dully, and asked, "What's your name?"

Without clear information on the other party, Alaric wouldn't know how to respond. If it was the son of a duke or even a royal, he'd have to let the kid run free for now.

"My name is Eli Fen, son to Viscount Fen, lord of the Great Forest of Neuling!"
