From Ruth's point of view, the support technique which Minos was employing was so incredible that it certainly would have to be at least Silver-grade. And that was not all, as this might also be a first-rate technique, which was possibly created by a Spiritual Demigod or even a God!
Nevertheless, while Ruth admired the Devouring Art, Minos had already advanced towards the group of 30 bandits while gripping his sword with both hands, then began to unleash a series of movements in the direction of those men.
Swooish!
Swooish!
As Minos brandished his sword, several blades of air materialized as if resembling strokes of an artist's brush on a painting. His movements gave the feeling that they were smooth yet were fast at the same time.
With every fraction of a second that passed, it appeared that Minos shifted his focus and would attack a new target. At the same time, the bandits were astounded by the proficiency displayed by this brown-haired young man.
'Damn it! My speed is too slow. I won't be able to evade this attack!' thought one of the men as he noticed an air blade approaching his chest.
Simultaneously, many other bandits found themselves facing an almost identical situation. They were unable to dodge Minos' assault, so they could only put everything to fortify their defenses.
Among this group of 30 bandits, most were only at level 40, with only two of them at level 41, thus causing an even greater challenge to resist when facing the restriction imposed by Minos.
And even if Minos couldn't engage in a long battle with such a large group, he could still be able to decisively strike them by using all his strength during the limited 10 seconds he had.
Utilizing the Devouring Art and the Spatial Sword, the young Stuart had gained a significant advantage when fighting at a distance from his enemies, as he was doing now.
He could adeptly keep his enemies at bay using his techniques and simultaneously create attacks using their own energy while limiting them with his attack technique!
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
The sound of the air being ripped grew louder as Minos continued to unleash his sword attacks. At the same time, some of his previous attacks had finally collided with their respective targets!
Steel Bones!
Earth Shield!
Flaming Barrier!
Several bandits resorted to employing their defensive techniques with everything they had to defend themselves against Minos' attacks, but that only resulted in a quick depletion of all their spiritual energy reserves to get away from this attack.
That's because although Minos' strength was at level 35, the strength of each blade he created was as fearful as an attack created by someone at level 42!
'Shit! What sort of monster is this guy?' contemplated one of the level 41 bandits, struggling to defend himself.
Boom!
Boom!
"Ahhh!"
Explosions reverberated, spreading a haze of dirt all over the place. And along with that, several bandits were sent flying off the perimeter of the Devouring Art.
Most of them had sustained heavy injuries, to the point that the onlookers were uncertain if they were alive or dead.
All of this had unfolded within a mere 10 seconds!
Minos had used up his entire energy reserves, in addition to the power of the Devouring Art. He had executed Spatial Sword ten times in a row while sending attacks at each bandits' direction within range.
He had played all his cards in this attack!
"Ahhh!"
Screams of pain echoed through the air, originating from those who were still conscious as the dust raised by the explosions slowly began to settle!
Upon witnessing this gruesome aftermath, the group finally noticed the grotesque sight of the strewn bodies.
"Ahhh!"
There were numerous dismembered arms and legs, decapitated heads lying on the floor much further than the bodies, and several bandits with wounds that even reached the height of their chests.
"Ahhh!"
From some of the bandits, one could also see their entrails coming out from the bottom of their bellies, which were accompanied by the sounds of cries.
It was indeed a scene that epitomized the horrors of a war!
The terror that each of these men had in their eyes was undeniably palpable.
Anyone who beheld this scene would know that these men were scared like never before throughout their lives!
Although many people thought that bandits were fearless beings, the truth was that they also dreaded losing their lives. That was also why they had resorted to running away and hiding!
Consequently, when faced with utterly hopeless situations, many of them succumbed to despair, to the point of even abandoning the fight.
When they saw the scene in front of them, the group accompanying Minos was shocked beyond measure. Even the soldiers, who already were aware of the combat techniques that Minos used, could not hold their emotions after witnessing such fighting prowess.
As for Elen, Ruth, and Eduard, they barely had any words to express their thoughts as their minds were in disarray. From their perspective, Minos right now didn't look any less than a devil who ignored any common sense that existed in this world.
"He can wield that sword..." Eduard murmured. If he hadn't witnessed it firsthand, he would never have believed that someone could wield a low-level grade-2 weapon while being only at level 35!
At the same time, Elen's mouth hung wide open. She could hardly believe that Minos had such skill, considering that he had started cultivating a little over a year ago!
"But this technique that he used to attack the bandits is almost as astounding as the other support technique. Unbelievable!" Ruth remarked, recalling what had happened.
After letting out a deep sigh, Minos spoke as he addressed his soldiers, "Finish off the enemies who might still be alive."
Minos then kept his sword back in his spatial ring and returned to the group.
After which, they started to wait on the spot while waiting for the reinforcements of the enemies to arrive.
...
Meanwhile, inside the mansion, the two men responsible for the Yellow City had already caught notice of the sounds of battles and were on their way towards the mansion's entrance.
"Hmph, nobody in this place dares to challenge us. Is it someone behind these traders that we kidnapped?" the muscular man asked as he glanced at Dugal.
"Hmm, that seems to be the only possibility," replied the thin man as they headed for the mansion's entrance gate.
After some time, not only did the two men at level 43 arrive at the place where Minos and his group stood, in fact, all the other bandits who were in the mansion had arrived as well. The group consisted of just over 50 people, with the weakest among them being at level 40.
Upon their arrival, the two level-43 men soon noticed the bloody scene that lay in front of them along with a group of 21 people that was patiently waiting for them. Dugal, who was the most perceptive of the two, took the initiative and inquired.
"Who are you? Why are you attacking us?" he asked, looking in the direction of Dillian and Eduard. Since these two were the strongest in the group, Dugal exercised extra caution on these two.
Minos, who stood next to Dillian, then spoke out loud, "It doesn't matter who we are. As criminals, you should have already been prepared for a situation like this."
Minos then looked at Ruth and Eduard and said, "Remember, don't kill the two strongest on their side."
Upon hearing this, both Dugal and the muscular man frowned. The two assessed their enemies and found that the beautiful girl and the man were at levels 45 and 48, respectively. There was no way that they could contend with enemies of such high levels!
"Shit, they are formidable. No wonder these people had the audacity to attack us!" the muscular man exclaimed in an angry tone.
"Hmm, but we are not just going to surrender. That young man, who is only at level 35, appears to be the group leader. If we can capture him, we might have a chance," Dugal strategized, eyeing Minos.
He then passed the order to his men to hold Ruth and Eduard while they both focused their attacks on Minos!
"Let's move fast. We can't give that level 48 guy a chance to catch us."
Boom!
And the battles quickly commenced again as Ruth and Eduard killed the numerous bandits coming their way. Meanwhile, the muscular man and Dugal were trying to get closer and closer to Minos while skilfully dodging enemy attacks.
Poisonous Art!
Dugal activated his attack technique, launching a green ball of spiritual poison towards Minos' body!
That was Dugal's specialization, and he intended to incapacitate Minos to stop the enemy's assault.
However, when he was least expecting it, Ruth appeared in front of him out of nowhere, delivering Dugal a powerful punch in his abdomen.
"Ahhh!"
He let out a scream before being thrown backwards onto the battlefield, in a half-passed-out state.
Ruth's punch was so strong that he couldn't maintain consciousness, his eyes rolled back and he spat a mouthful of blood while his body flew up at one of the mansion's walls.
Boom!
At the same time, Eduard had also successfully restrained the muscular man, while Dillian intercepted the poisonous ball that was hurtling towards Minos.
Radiant Healing!
A beam of golden lights manifested in Dillian's hand as he positioned himself to receive the poison ball and nullify it. This technique resembled a miniature sun, emitting golden strands of light that could be used to heal or defend against biological attacks!
Poof!
The two techniques came into contact, and in an instant, the green ball dissipated as if it didn't even exist.
There was no other outcome for this since Dillian was much stronger than the opponent who had launched this technique. Moreover, Radiant Healing was a Golden-grade technique, surpassing the rating of the technique used by Dugal.
There was no way to contest these two techniques!
...
A few minutes passed, and finally, all the bandits in the mansion were slain, with the only exception of Dugal and the muscular man, who was still lying unconscious.
Minos addressed the soldiers, saying, "We will take these two to different rooms. I want to interrogate them one by one and find out what's going on here."
