Outer Walls Taken

Marcius watched as he could do nothing to prevent the two of his enemies from escaping. The great elder took the weakened body of the order master into the innermost parts of the Order of Purple Sun's stronghold. Even though the siege had been progressing swiftly, the Aemilia clan had not been able to advance that far.

The outer walls had already been destroyed long ago, but there was an inner wall section surrounding the tall tower that was located at the very center of the fortress. From Marcius's investigations, he had determined the tower to be the place where the order master as well as the three great elders of the Order of Purple Sun lived.

It was a place more secure than the rest of the stronghold atop the Purple Sun Hill. The resistance became much fiercer as the Aemilia clan advanced deeper into the enemy's headquarters. Although the siege weapons on the outer walls had been destroyed, there were thrice their amount equipped on top of the inner walls.
