Lost Themselves

Emily was lying on the couch inside her apartment, while Elle was sleeping in her room, still under the effects of the moon-heart. She was patiently waiting for Fenrir and Vixie to report back and was considering that it might not be a bad idea to go check up on them.

She was bored and was beginning to realize how much Fenrir and Vixie's presence meant to her. With them by her side, even when she disappeared into her own world, at least she was never truly alone.

Sighing, she got up from the couch, walked to the door, and opened it just before the person behind it could knock. "Hi, Haley. What brings you here?"

Haley stood there, startled. "How did yo-you know what, never mind, can I… um…?"

Emily smiled. "Why, of course, you can come in," she replied, inviting Haley inside.

Haley absentmindedly nodded and stepped in. Emily closed the door behind her and led Haley to the living room, sitting her down on the couch.
