Chapter Two. (Information)

"Well I accept, I do not know why but I just want to accept." William said to the Grim Reaper, this was just the thing that the Grim Reaper wanted to hear and if he could smile he would although it probably would've looked a lot scarier than normal. The Grim Reaper raised his hand and rested in on William's shoulder.

"I accept you, William as my student!" The Grim Reaper said, and after he was done William and the Grim Reaper were teleported to somewhere else…

(A day later)

"So, yesterday you got time to adjust to all this, now do you have any questions before we start the lesson?" The Grim Reaper asked William who was sitting on a couch that the Grim Reaper had brought from somewhere.

"Yes what is a Standard year, since you mentioned it yesterday?" William asked, paying attention to what the Grim Reaper is going to answer.

"Yes, a good question my student. So not every planet has the same 24 hours for a day as earth so it was decided that there would be a time that would count everywhere. Take for example Earth, one standard minute would mean a hundred seconds on earth, one standard hour is a hundred standard minutes and a standard day is the same as five hundred standard minutes." The Grim Reaper said standing in front of William. "And one standard year is equal to 100 standard days."

William thought about it for a bit and it was logical, even though William was average in his 'past' life he had a pretty good IQ and his memory was good he just never used it. It didn't take long for William to progress the answer and he asked another question.

"So what will my job be specifically?" William thought a bit about it, surely there would be something different than just to reap souls on earth since he talked about the standard time and all indicating that there were multiple worlds.

"A smart question this time my student, well my answer will be the start of our lessons now and questions will only be able to be asked after I am done with this lesson so remember them if they seem important." The Grim Reaper said that he got a nod from William in response.

"So what you will be doing is not simply reaping the souls of the dead, you will also be searching for beings that refuse to die such as undead or wandering souls, Immortals don't count since they haven't died yet. Yes, immortals can die too; only gods are truly immortal." The Grim Reaper said standing still as

a statue.

"What you will do with the souls of the dead is simple, you will guide them to the after life, or the next realm as you called it, simple as that." Grim said, (yes the Grim part will be short for The Grim Reaper so it will be a little less Grim Reaper this Grim reaper that.) taking a skeletal breath before continuing even though he doesn't need to breath.

"The undead and wandering souls will need you to fight them before guiding them to the next life, if not done properly you can end up dead even though you already died once." Grim continued his explanation.

"Now about the other worlds, your world known as Earth is also known as the Center planet. This does not really mean much in terms of power or anything, it just means that every world there is, is somewhat connected to Earth."

"The connected worlds could be created by some higher being or even a human. Those worlds that are 'created' by humans are what we call the fictional worlds, these worlds are called movies,anime,manga,films whatever you want to call them in your world" This was the first time William reacted to Grim's answer.

This meant that movies like Marvel and DC or even animes like Naruto existed. William was by no means an anime or movie expert but he had heard from his colleagues about the anime and had watched some in his spare time. He only knew a bit about the animes like Naruto, One Piece and Dragonball Ball so all the other thousand animes were a blank slate for him.

William wanted to ask some questions but Grim had said to ask questions after he was done.

(A few hours of explaining later)

"Now that is the general thing you will be doing, further things will be answered in more detail during our training, any final questions before we start training?" Grimm concluded after a few hours of talking.

"Yes thank you for explaining. I do have some questions after you explained everything, what happens to stories on earth that didn't finish when I was alive or those that were cancelled?" William was curious, since One piece wasn't finished watching it when he died and that anime was the one he liked most.

"Well to those that weren't finished when you died simply continue until they are finished and after that they just continue, but to those that are cancelled they get corrupted and that is where those isekai protagonists come in, I think you have heard about am I right?" William just nodded to let Grim continue

"I think I heard about those but never really paid any attention to, but for my other question. What do we do in the worlds where there is already a Reaper or afterlife?" William asked, remembering a specific anime he watched for about 10 episodes.

"I thought I explained that earlier but guess not" Grim mumbled a bit not loud enough for William to hear, and since he doesn't really have a mouth William also couldn't see it moving. Grim though spoke up and answered the question.

"Simple, unless we need to intervene like when those afterlifes fail we do nothing." Grim answered whilst turning around knowing that his student wouldn't have any more questions.

"Today's lessons are over and tomorrow we will begin your reaper training in the art of soul reaping and combat, beware though this won't make you strong on your first day. There will be challenges along the way." After that Grim left, most likely to continue his duty.

William was too deep in thought to notice that Grim had left, he was thinking about what he had learnt today and what happened in the past few days. To William this was moving too fast, him dying yesterday and now he was being thought by the Grim Reaper.

William couldn't help but laugh a little, the idea of going to other anime worlds excited him a bit, he hasn't been this excited in his life often so he was really trying to make this work.
