"Outsider!" a feminine voice boomed. Spheris shot his head up instinctively, however, just like the voice when he had first arrived in The Abyss, this voice came from everywhere and from nowhere.

"You have stepped foot into my domain, a decision you will regret. Whatever vainglory or prize you are in search for will forever escape your possession. You may leave now if you desire to live. But if you choose to stay, my Expended Realm will be a punishment for your trivial greed."

Everywhere suddenly fell silent, a reverence emitted from the clouds. Spheris took his face down and side nonchalantly. 'Whatever,' he thought.

At least he knew now that it wasn't really a person speaking to them back then in The Abyss. Thorin had been right about it possibly being the magic of the realm itself, placed there to warn intruders.
