There was a time when a young and beautiful woman with red hair and stunning golden eyes dominated the world with her intelligence and quick mind. The people submitted to her as the ruler of the business world. Her accomplishments were too grand for anyone to reach, and her smile was too precious for anyone to conquer. It was useless to go against her as she was ruthless with any daring to cross her bottom line.
However, the only man who was bold enough to oppose her and even reprimand her as a little girl without consequences was her dear grandfather. The man who raised and taught her everything she knew and provided her with the most incredible form of happiness, a dog. A beautiful white dog she adored with her soul. And the only living being that showed her unconditional love after her dear grandpa left the world.
"Anne?"
"Mm?"
"Anne?"
From the day she proposed the solution to end the spreading of sadness, the King had been avoiding her like a plague.
However, she knew he was occupied thinking about how to bring that damn Wizard to the castle. It was no use asking the Queen as she had her hands tied up. Anne didn't want her aunt to feel exhausted by fighting the King. But seriously, can't he be more selfish? We were talking about the happiness of the country.
'Tch... That King is a jealous monster in need of a lesson.'
Anne could only sigh and wait, the childish King had long banned the beautiful Queen Elisa to ever call that man to the country and so Anne had to face reality and find another solution that came unexpectedly knocking on her door. Now, she only had to be patient and wait. Her mischievous plan was already about to begin. She would have her dog whether they want it or not.
"Anne, can you hear me?"
"Oh brother, when did you come back? What's up? Do you need a good lesson from my mighty self? Are your tutors tired of seeing you cheat? They are about to punish you?"
She raised her brow in interest, her sparkling eyes couldn't contain the need for the expected answer.
"..."
The young prince only looked at his little sister with a sigh. For how long will she be trying to make him cheat on his exams. She even dared to hide inside the curtains to whisper the answers even though her obviously bright pink dress was giving her out. However, the answers were all correct and impressive. The tutors were excited and didn't mind her being there. They just shoved more difficult questions to test the limits of her little mind.
Now, if they aren't beginning a cult or a club to adore her, they shouldn't deserve to be called erudite and followers of wisdom. As they worshiped her now as their little goddess of knowledge.
"This… what are you doing?"
"Nothing much," she sipped her tea. Her gloomy mood from before was now overshadowed by her shameless behavior. She was calling now herself the bringer of happiness. At least now she was not in her role of evildoer, or so they thought.
"…" The Crown Prince, Ilian du Lith, was staring at her with those emerald eyes she envied so much. However, his gaze was also fixed on the kneeling man with his head touching the ground near her foot. "What are you doing, Anne? Why is Master Callum kneeling?"
"Oh that… I don't know. But it is bothering, can you take him away from here?"
"… that…"
The servants had called the Crown Prince urgently to handle the matter with Anne, they didn't know what to do, as the man, Callum Prim, the mighty warrior Callum Prim had been kneeling beside her from a few hours ago.
Ilian was also a bit disturbed by the sight. He had met Callum Prim when the Prime Minister first introduced him to the King. It would be a lie to say that the young boy didn't felt intimidated by the powerful bearing of the man, who wouldn't. He was a citizen from the lands of the north, and not any kind of citizen, but a warrior of the first league.
His mighty figure and piercing deep red eyes could send shivers to anyone, even to the bravest hero, but the Prime Minister had the audacity to tame him and made him his subordinate and bodyguard. They called him the dog of the Prime Minister.
No one knew how the stone-faced Prime Minister did it, what did he offer, but the fiery man was at his beck and call anytime in the shadows, watching and guarding the Minister back.
It was a good move, as it sent shivers to any daring to scheme against the Prime Minister. Who wouldn't kill for being the most powerful man second only to the King? So it was evident that a target was on his back at any time.
It was said that many Dukes and other Ministers, even the King tried to lure Callum to their side, but the man refused each one of the offers, not minding offending the powerful men.
However, the same fiery man was kneeling on the ground to a child, a mischievous and sometimes a bit crazy child in a fluffy pink dress drinking aromatic tea in her newly made tea table for kids.
"I beg you, my Princess, I swore my loyalty to you."
"Loyalty? Is that edible?"
"I swore it, Princess, give me a chance to prove my worth."
Her little eyes lowered down to her cup hiding the glint and the triumphant smirk on her face.
"Mm... then I can only give you a week. No more days after that. Are you willing to take my test?"
"Yes, Princess!"
The man shouted with his head still looking at the ground. He would not stand up until she ordered.
"Excellent, that is the spirit!" She clapped and signaled Tia on the side for another cup of tea. "Then let's talk business, my friend."
Her narrowed eyes were filled with cunningest, it would be impressive if she were not wearing such a fluffy dress with toys and teddy bears in the other seats of the table.
The Crown Prince could only sigh, he was certain that some trouble was coming their way.
