A psychedelic question, if you may.
Who are you? That question lurks deeper than the mariana trench. It carves your soul, lowers your confidence.
"I'm.. a Northanrey?" I said to her somewhat confidently somewhat reluctantly.
"Oh! I know.. but what lurks deeper, may not be the same." She said while her third eye's staring directly at my eyes. I felt like my soul was stared.
"If I'm really who you think I am, would you kill me?" I asked. Without skipping a beat she replied,
"Yes. Yes I would kill you without hesitant."
"Kill me." I said, surprising her and Dylan who is eavesdropping the whole entire time, barged in immediately.
"My liege!" Dylan said, I smirked the whole thing finally came to an end.
I knew that Dylan was eavesdropping so I said something nerve-wracking to make Dylan barge in.
To be honest, I don't know anything that could end this stare down, she would just pressure me more to talk and it would've been an endless paradox.
"I'm joking, haha you should've seen your face when I said that."
Tessa was shocked, she knew. She knew what I was doing. Everything I said since she accused me was planned. I led her to my very own climax.
"Now, let's change the topic shall we?" I said, Tessa was intrigued.
"Dylan, you can stay for this one.
Tessa the sage, I want to learn magic from you. Correct me if I'm wrong but I saw your mouth wording the sentence "what an immense mana" something- something?" I said, shocking both of them again.
Dylan was silent this time, observing his liege and Tessa. He knew what I'm capable of, Tessa though on the other hand has never seen me in action. That's why she was the most perplexed.
"No- no, you're not wrong." She said while shaking her head. She leaved her chair and went to the bookshelf, searching for something.
"You know, my liege, when Dylan came to my tower to play, he always talks about you. He glorified you, looked up upon you. I now know why.
Ah! found it." She flew towards the upper part of the bookshelf and grabbed a singular paper. "This is called a magical papyrus, but this one is special even amongst other magical papyrus. This papyrus is those that are used to test other's mana, the thing that sets this papyrus apart from the others is that it is reusable."
It was an empty paper. At a glance it seemed as if it was a normal papyrus, but it's not.
Tessa flew back down and sit back down. I watched her with full of interest. She placed the papyrus on the table. She made a needle out of thin air, the needle is made out of wind.
'She's either an aero magician or a gale magician, but since she did a chant-less magic I'm guessing she's a gale magician.' I thought.
"Excuse me my liege, may I borrow a finger?" She said and I oblige. She punctured the tip of my finger with her wind needle. A drop of blood was soon formed.
She stamped it towards the papyrus and let my hand go. The papyrus suddenly glowed blue and texts soon appeared. This was my first time seeing a magic papyrus and how it works.
She grabbed the papyrus and read it with intent. It said that my mana signature is humongous even for adults, but the thing that made me disappointed is that I only got 2 mana pathways. Furthermore, they're both narrow!
Tessa agreed on taking me as her apprentice, it's a win-win situation. She's able to watch me thoroughly, to calm her suspicion down and I got an experienced teacher.
Now, the only magic I can learn is the elementary magic, which consist of
Pyro, Aqua, Aero, Earth, Light, and Dark.
The spells you can learn on each and every elementary magics:
Pyro: Fireball, Flame summon, Limited Pyro-kinesis, Flame needle, Flame weaponry enchantments.
Aqua: Water ball, Water summon, Limited Hydro-kinesis, Water needle, Limited healing.
Aero: Air ball, Air condensing, Limited Aero-kinesis, Air needle, Limited flight.
Earth: Mini Earthquake, Mini ground spike, Limited Geo-kinesis, Mud creation, Limited plant growth-spurt.
Light: Invisibility, Magic transfer, Limited healing, Limited Buff.
Dark: Blind, Limited Debuff, Illusion, limited intangibility.
Because of the tinier quantity of spells, Dark and Light magics have the least amount of users and have always been underestimated.
The difference in power for elementary and advance magics are very extensive, that's why most advance magicians received high respect from the people and are of high value for the empire.
Though magics are super strong, aether skills also omits high threat in physicality or even mentality.
After pondering for a while I've chosen Light and Dark magic. Looking at their spells and qualities they seem to be the most useful out of the rest. It also compliments my aether skill, which is Quantum Manipulation.
Quantum manipulation contains such high power capable of controlling time and sometimes even space.
Here are the specs for my current quantum manipulation ability:
Projecting an up to 2 meter bubble in which I can manipulate time freely; time stop, rewind, or even fast-forward (can improve).
Stopping space and time completely (max 3 seconds (can improve)).
Rewinding space and time completely (max 2 seconds (can improve)).
Making a subject or an object to move slowly (2 meter radius (can improve)).
Overall my abilities are of high standards even in this power dominant world.
I, in fact have a latibule where I can safely train and take a break for the day. It's the forest behind my household's backyard.
There are many wild, mystical animals who doesn't seem to care about me, it feels clysmic to be in the forest, with mesmerizing view and wonderful scent of variable trees.
I used to value each and every second of my life, but when I'm in the forest all of my worries and burdens are lifted. It sanitizes my busy brain.
