Chapter 89

Khai along with Austin and Madge, reached the vast glade where he had last encountered the werewolf. The ground still bore scars of the creature's massive claws, which tore into the earth and left deep grooves in the mud.

They followed the tracks, moving deeper into the forest, deftly winding around the trees. They moved much slower than usual so Madge could keep up with them, making sure to keep a sharp eye around on their surroundings.

The trail seemed endless and they followed the tracks for what felt close to an hour before finally hitting a rock face, where the tracks seemed to come to an abrupt stop.

"Look, here." Austin pointed to the jagged claw marks on the rocks.

Khai furrowed his brows as he gauged the height and steepness of the rock. He shot a wavering look at Madge who was staring at the rock with her jaw slightly open.
