Tender Loving and Care

After the practice Tezuka, went to the locker room and waited for Oishi… He wanted to go without him but he was quite afraid that the fan girls would swoon around him if he went to the girls locker room alone so he waited for his vice captain…

"Are you done?" Tezuka asked who is quite getting impatient

"Ah… yeah almost" answered by Oishi who is writing on something

"What are you doing Oishi?" Tezuka asked once again, he is not that type of person who keeps on questioning but recently Oishi is doing some suspicious things so he was bothered

"A nothing Tezuka… It's just something I am planning to do after the finals… It just pop out of my mind so I decided to write it down so I won't forget about it" he explains trying to satisfy him with his curiosity

"I see.. but you're not the type of person who is forgetful with his tasks" he contradict with him, and that makes the other one frown

"Ah… it's just, it is something that I should have done a long time ago but… I have other priorities, and I think that was not the right time to do it"

"So after the Nationals is the right time?"

"I think so… I'm looking for a sign before I do it" looking at his friend, he just nodded and made their way to the tennis court., and as just expected several girls were looking at them. So give his best don't-dare-scream-look while Oishi is the don't-run-after-us-shy-face the fan girls just left standing on where they are. They saw that the female regulars where about to leave and looks like they are panicking

"This is insane" said Riku

"What's going on here?" Nanako couldn't believe it, Tezuka and Oishi looked at each other so they went near the girls.

"Tezuka buchou and Yamada buchou are on good terms, there is a big possibility that they will face off in the next match, what will happen if Tezuka buchou finds out this?" Sunako said without knowing that Tezuka is already at her back

"What is it something that I will find out" said Tezuka, the girls were surprised to see him and Oishi

"Ah, it's that Yamada buchou is going out with Sa----" Sunako's mouth was covered by Risa

"What's with Yuuki?" he asked he frowns

"Ah it's that Yuuki-chan went out already and… and that she might forget to give any report doesn't she? Aoi?" Megumi elbowed her, something is not right said Tezuka in his mind

"Ah yes! Yes! Didn't she forget something?" Aoi tried to convince him with the alibi

"No…" he replied

"Ah okay! We have to go girls right?" Said Riku

"Eh wait where are you guys going?" Oishi asked

"Ahmm.. Girls night out???" Said Riku

"Eh? Girls night out?" Oishi is confused

"Yeah so see you guys on Monday! Bye!" and the girl all walk, and Oishi and Yuuki was left

"What's with them?" asked by Oishi

"I don't know" replied by Tezuka, he put out his phone and dialed a number, but it was not at reach so he closed and put it back at his pocket

"I'm going Oishi, see you next week"

"Okay, see yah!"

He just can't stop thinking of her, they haven't talked the whole day except at the training and when Ryuzaki sensei called them, he's not feeling well, and he just can't help worrying on where Yuuki went, he can't even contact her. So he decided to look for her at the places she might go to, but where will she go? She's not that familiarly with the city yet, though she lives here when she was young, a lot of things changed when she had gone to America, and knowing Yuuki who is quite dumb when it comes to directions… he then rubs the side of his temple….

It was around seven when Yuuki and Sanada decided to went home, she would like to take look at the toy shop but the rain starts, that's when Sanada said that he'll send her home

"Hey, Chirou-san let's go out again next time…" said Yuuki who enters the gate and closes her umbrella "Be careful, the rain is quite getting strong"

"Sure thing…" he stands in front of the gate

"I'll ask Mitsu to come with us, you two will get along well, I'm sure about it" she said gladly

"Mitsu? Who is that?" he asked

"Ah… He's my… hmmm… (she was thinking how would she say this to Chirou-chan, she then remember Tezuka told her that he is her Boyfriend)

…my BOYFRIEND *Blushes*" she said while smiling

"Oh.. Really? Sure, I'm glad to meet him SOON" and he waved back *dark aura released* Yuuki tilted her head at the weird mood Sanada showed

"I'm gonna make that bastard pay, *evil laugh* boyfriend she said huh?"

"Eh? Why is Chiro-chan talking to himself?" she then thinks

She look at her phone it's empty batt, she then charged it and when she turned it on she was surprised to see 10 voice messages, 30 missed called and 17 text messages from Tezuka

*Where are you?*

*I can't contact you…*

*answer the phone please*

*I'm getting worried now*

*I've been looking for you all day, where did you go!?* based from his messages he's getting pissed off already

*I'm worrying to death! Where are you!?*

*WHERE ARE YOU YUUKI!? ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE!* it's all caps lock, that makes her frown at the thought, she forget to inform him, she enjoyed too much, maybe Tezuka is so mad right now, she was about to send a message to him when her phone rings

"Yes?" she is quite nervous

"Where have you been?" he asked calmly, she gave a sigh knowing that his voice doesn't sound mad

"Oh, I just hung out with Chirou-chan.. remember my childhood best friend?"

"Ah… I see… Hinamori said that you left the campus early, so I'm worried…"

"Oh, sorry I haven't told you… Don't worry I'm safe, I'm at home already…"

"I'm not just can't calm myself… Can I see you?"

"Eh? At this time? Where are you anyway?"

"In front of your house…"

"What!? But it's raining!"

She hang up and didn't wait for his reply, she grab her umbrella and run to the front gate and opened it

"MITSU!?" she called seeing Tezuka, with his hand in his pocket he was under the small shelter, and all wet from the rain

"Hurry and come inside…" as she grabs his right arm and leads him to the house, he is wet from the rain drops, he's still wearing his uniform… she hands a clean towel to him

"What's on your mind that you came here at this time? It's already past seven" she asked

"I'm looking for you… coz I'm just so worried and I can't help it" he said while drying his hair

"I don't know what makes you worry, but I'm s---" she didn't finished what she's saying as Tezuka hugged her back, resting his forehead at her shoulders she could feel the heat coming from his body

(Is it just the cold that makes Kunimitsu warm or it is…) she said in her mind she gasped at the second thought and turned around and put up her hand into his forehead and neck, checking his temperature

"Kunimitsu you're HOT!" she exclaimed *you have a fever*

"I know I am" try thinking of the other meaning *Mistu you're so HOT! >///< *

"No! What I mean is you're sick! *facepalm* What the hell you've been doing to yourself!" she hurriedly go to the kitchen and search for any medicine that could make his temperature lower, she return with it and a glass of water

"Here drink this…" he would like to protest but Yuuki makes a deadly glare so he did so

"I think I better call your mom, the rain is so strong and based on your condition you won't be able to get home…" She said while wiping the sweat off his forehead with a towel, she made soup for Tezuka in the kitchen. She's not into cooking so she doesn't know if he will like it. She went upstairs; she made Tezuka lay in bed after he had changed his clothes, lucky that there were some clothes left at her father's room that were not used and still sealed.

"Kunimitsu, I brought a soup…" as she opened the door seeing Tezuka lying in bed, a thought made her blush, then she placed the soup on the table side and helped Tezuka to get up.

"Yuuki, I'm going home, the rain is not that strong anymore…" Tezuka said

"What? But you have a high fever… just give me your mother's number and I'll tell her that you'll be staying here just for tonight…" she said

"No…"

"But why?"

"She will freak out…"

"Of course every mother will feel the same, seeing their child sick…"

"Not because I'm sick… but because I'm in a girl's house"

"Eh? What's wrong with that?" she's confused

"It's just not good to see a man sleeping in a woman's house especially if they are not married yet…" he explained that somehow makes Yuuki think…

"I see…" she paused, "But still you're not going out of my house not until you get well and that's final!" she said and was about to leave him

"Yuuki… why are you doing this?" he asked all of a sudden, she stop at the doorstep turn around and look at him

"I am your girlfriend right? So I think this is the right thing to do, to take care of you if you're sick and… and… " she stops

"And why?" he asked trying to stop the smile from his lips

"And… because.. i… i…" she took a deep breath before saying… "Because I love you and I don't want to see you like that! So get well soon as fast as you can! I'll be back later!" she said so fast and closed the door. He was left smiling at the room; the thought makes his heart leap. While Yuuki outside the door is still holding her chest

"Why does my heart beats that fast?" she asked herself

The night went so fast, and Yuuki visits Tezuka from time to time, she gives medicine and makes him soup then to check his temperature. It was midnight when Tezuka suddenly felt like it was so hot so he tried to get up. He saw Yuuki who was leaning at the bedside, fall asleep, he combs his hand through her hair not trying to wake her up. He went up off the bed and tried to breathe in the midnight breeze at the veranda. Yuuki is living in a spacious manor alone, the thought of being alone in such a big place is quite lonely, and he felt sad about her condition. He remember the day after the semi-final when Yuuki visited her father, she was crying that time and he tried to calm her

*Flashback*

"He… he only has a few months to go…" crying between her sobs

"Stop crying… it's not your fault… and besides you said that he was happy to see you again…" he try to make her feel better

"Why do people always leave me?" she asked while wiping the tears which cannot stop from falling

"It's not true…"

"First are my friends… then my mother… now is my father…"

"Yuuki…" she enclosed her in his arms; it's breaking his heart to see her cry like that "If everybody leaves you… then I won't… I will be by your side…" and planted soft kisses to her lips

*End of flashback*

"Kunimitsu?" a voice called he turned around to see Yuuki standing bare feet at the veranda while wiping her eyes, she just woke up but she still look so beautiful, he smile at her and make a gesture to come near him, so then Yuuki step out the veranda and stand beside him, he enclosed her in his arms again, he just can't get enough of her, the touch of their skin and the feeling of her soft hair loosely

"Why are you here? You might get a cold…" she asked

"I just like to breathe in some fresh air…" he kisses her temple

"Are you feeling better now?"

"Yes thanks to you…" he smiles at her warmly

"You look so weird Kunimitsu" she awed

"Huh? Why?"

"Hmmmm… First you've been smiling even when there's nothing funny… you were combing your hand to my hair, that makes me think that you like it… you were even smelling it! And I'm getting conscious, I thought it smells dull… and you----" she didn't finish what she's saying when Tezuka gave her a long passionate kiss

"Are you done?" he asked at her smiling so widely

"and… and you always do that! That I won't be able to finish my sentence" her face is red, it is not her first time to be kissed by Tezuka but every time he did it's always like a first to her

"It's because I love you" and gave her another soft kiss

"and I love you…." Another again "and I love you so much…" he did it again; she knows that her face is as red as crimson or even more. Tezuka chuckles and wraps his arm around her shoulder and leads them back to the room when Yuuki stops him…

"Kunimitsu…." He looks at her

"Mmm?" she was staring straight into his eyes

"I love you too…" she said in a very shy way

"I know…" and kiss her at her forehead, and she closes her eyes and wrap her arms around his body

"Please… don't leave… I love you and I don't know what to do if you will leave me too…" as she rest her head at his chest, he felt a sudden pain at the thought of leaving her, he encloses her in his arms even tighter

"I won't… I'll love you even more…"
