Dominique's POV
I caught up to Connor, who is walking briskly in the forest. I removed the spell which covers my scent, making him halt in his track as he sniffed the air.
"Dominique." He called my name. I positioned few meters away from him and removed the spell for invisibility. His eyes widened upon seeing me. He took a step forward, but I signaled him to stop walking. Confusion skates all over his face, and I gulped. Shit, I'm gonna miss him.
"The princess is safe." I uttered.
"Where is she?! Did you take her away!? Take her back!" He shouted at me. His voice was laced with frustration.
"The princess asked me to take her away from the crown prince. I just did what she wants me to do." I explained. "I just returned to let you know that she's safe, and you don't have to worry about her." His facial expression softens.
