Awake

I had woken up probably days later but I will never know exactly when! I was lying comfortably in a four-poster bed, with floral colors. I looked around and saw nothing but a spacious room, beautifully decorated like a royal suite, but partly dilapidated. I cautiously got out of bed and walked towards the place where the ransacked wall of the room was half collapsed, from there I could see a dense forest, still virgin, populated by flying beings and creatures of all kinds. 

  I contemplated this grandiose view for a long time, then I understood and realized, remembering what had happened, that I was still in the middle of a torment, the black beings, the cold waters, and then...the unknown. But in spite of that, I was delighted to be alive, and to have the chance to stand in front of this vision of nature that offered itself beyond the collapsed walls.
