Are those for me?

It was only at around 10 p.m. that a maid came and let her out.

"I'm sorry, Young Lady Wushuang," the maid said apologetically as she helped the girl out of the closet. "The Madam-"

Little Fan Wushuang raised a hand and stopped her from speaking. She leaned on the maid with her eyes closed as she tried to regain her balance. Having spent so many hours in the closet, her legs felt wobbly and she felt as if there were a thousand ants crawling up her legs at the moment.

It was so uncomfortable that she wanted to cry out. Back when her parents were alive, whenever she felt this way after sitting for a long period of time, her father or her mother would console her and helped to massage her legs to get rid of the feeling.

But now, she knew that even if she were to cry her eyes out, no one would do the same for her. Hence, she merely dealt with the pain like everyone else now... by waiting for the pain to pass by itself.

The moment she felt better, she looked up at the maid and said, "I know it's not your fault. You don't have to apologize for it."

Once the maid helped her over to the bed for her to sit down, she asked in a hushed tone, "Is my uncle back yet?"

The maid shook her head. "No. Master called earlier and said that he would only tomorrow night, and even then, he would be late."

"Where's that... woman?" Little Fan Wushuang asked, spitting at the word "woman". Just the thought that she was at the mercy of her earlier made her blood boil with anger.

"She went to bed already. Please don't tell her that I let you out," the maid said in a soft voice as she looked at the girl worriedly. She touched Little Fan Wushuang's cheek where her aunt hit her and asked, "Does it still hurt?"

The girl shook her head. She smiled as she reassured the maid, "I won't tell anyone that you let me out. Don't worry about it."

Little Fan Wushuang knew that the maid took a risk of losing her job to let her out, and she was glad that someone dared to let her out. Otherwise, she might really go crazy if they locked her up any longer in the closet.

"You better leave now…" Little Fan Wushuang said.

The maid nodded before she quickly snuck out of the room.

A moment later, while she was trying to figure out a revenge plan, a butler snuck into her room with a plate of sandwiches. When he saw that she was out of the closet, he was shocked and nearly gasped out loud.

"How?" he whispered as he closed the door behind him.

"I have my ways…" Little Fan Wushuang smiled at him. This butler came along with her when she moved over to this house. Back at her old house, she used to make him play with her whenever her parents were busy.

Therefore, their relationship was quite close.

Looking at the sandwiches, Little Fan Wushuang asked, "Are those for me?"

Just looking at the sandwiches caused her stomach to growl with hunger.

The butler smirked and nodded. "I know that you must be hungry by now. Please eat quickly, Young Lady Wushuang or the Madam would know."

Little Fan Wushuang nodded and sat on her bed as she ate her sandwiches. Even though she preferred to eat better food, she would take this for now. It was better than starving.

As she ate, the butler sighed and patted the girl's head. "Stay strong, my young lady..."

Little Fan Wushuang gave him a quick glance before she nodded sharply. In her mind, she was thinking, "I won't let her beat me again!"

Once she was done eating, the butler then left with the empty plate. As she lay on her bed in this house, Little Fan Wushuang started crying quietly.

"Daddy… Mummy… I'm like Cinderella now… Auntie and my cousins always bully me… I wanna go home…" she murmured as she looked at her family photo that blown up and was perched on the wall. That was one of the things she made her uncle do on the first day she moved over.

To her, it felt as if they were still with her...

Before her parents passed away, her auntie and her cousins all treated her with respect and reverence. But now, they treated her as if she were a nuisance. Not only at home, but even at her new private school, Little Fan Wushuang had trouble fitting in. The kids were snobbish, and they kept looking at her as if she were a sad creature that needed their sympathy.

Most of them would either ignore her or they would point at her and whisper behind her back. On her first day, she fought with one of the popular kids at school when the kid tried to tease her by taking her stuff.

She broke the kid's tooth, and she was shunned by everyone else ever since.

She preferred to go back to her old public school. Her parents went to that school and they met there, and when they had a daughter, they knew that they wanted to send her to the same school. Even though it might be a public school, it was still one of the Top 10 elementary schools in the country.

Furthermore, President Fan Lei did not want his daughter to only hang out with the rich kids. One of the reasons why he sent her to a public school was because he wanted her to learn humility and to be humble.

"Yue Xue…" Little Fan Wushuang thought. When she left, her best friend had told her that she could call anytime.

Little Fan Wushuang wiped her tears off and picked up her phone to give her best friend a call. However, no one picked up the call after two times. Little Fan Wushuang thought that her best friend was probably asleep by now, so she did not try again.

She thought for a while before she decided to give Little Han Ye a call. She just wanted to talk to someone, and he was almost her best friend. If he were a girl, she would have made him her best friend.

As the call was connecting, she wondered if he would pick up the phone. Their relationship had always been rocky, and before she left, she had treated him coldly. Thus, if he did not want to talk to her, she would understand.

To her surprise, he picked up the call.

"Hello?" Little Han Ye's voice traveled through the phone. He sounded pretty much awake at that moment.

A bit late... Was supposed to publish in the afternoon, but I couldn't sleep even though my head hurt...

Enjoy~ :)
