A Glimpse?! - 2

"Loosen up?" Suddenly, my body experiences a glimpse of the rage as I clench my fists and bash them against the wall of the emporium. "You still want me to loosen up after what happened to all of us?" My eyes glow up as I feel the heat inside my body.

"C-C-Calm down L-Leona!!! I was joking…y-yeah, just joking, so calm down!!"

Like those words can calm me down… never mind, they did. "Phew, I am sorry, Kuro, I acted up carelessly again." I finally regain my senses but this is really getting into my head.

"D-Don't mind it. B-But my point still stands right?"

I look at him with an annoyed stare to which he reacts with a stone-cold face. Hehe, it is really fun to tease him.

"Maybe, I don't know," turning the answer around, "Nevertheless, let's get a cart for our travel first," I remind him of our current endeavor.

"…Yeah, but keep your end of the bargain now."

Ah right, I almost forgot about that. "I will get you some of the regular muesli, alright?" Sigh, he has such demands.

With glittering eyes, he reflected all the shine at me with an emotional smile, "Sure, sure!!"

I turn around and enter through the door of my Emporium with a twist of a knob.

Embellishments and decorative for personal spaces at one corner, ending with the weaponries of all kinds of tasks, we have them all. This is my Emporium, My "Rare Quill".

"It is a nice morning for you to enter your domain, the blooo-ssoming Peruvian snowwww-flake♫…Ah, it has such a nice tune to it." And the voice calling me from the stands is my manager, Chad Gooberdapple, and…he is just like that.

I walk inside my quill while looking at the customers, some smiling at him while others busy searching for products. "How many times have I told you to keep your cringe to the minimal, old man?" Wearing the black and white attire like a bartender in a trading shop, he is still whistling around, under the cloak of his daydreams.

Putting off his fake cigarette into the bin, he starts shaking the box of candies like a cocktail mix, "Let me welcome you to the Quill with a blank mix of deep rock and soft harmony, my snowww maggedonnnn♫"

Uh-huh, he doesn't stop until I greet him back, annoying old man, "Thanks for your service, Mr. Chad, keep working hard as usual." I reply to him with a sincere face.

Bowing his head to me he continues, "Really appreciated. So, do you need any help from me regarding anything?"

"Um, yeah, didn't I tell you a few days back that I will be going to the capital for the graduation ceremony of Ciel?!"

"And?"

"So, I want you to take care of Kuro for a while since I will be gone for a few days and only you know about his daily diets and all in this town. So I can leave him at your care, right?"

Snuffing a little, he looks at Kuromi from the transparent door, lying down waiting for his breakfast, "Understood, he will be in my service for the time being then, I assume?"

"Yeah to all that jazz you are thinking of. I am getting late so don't slack off! Also, give Kuro a large bowl of Muesli, okay?" I request him…no, order him to take care of this area and get out of the emporium hurriedly.

"Geez, such a short visit with such a long list, befitting a vassilennaaa♫" I hear the weird farewell as the door closes.

"Kuro, I have told him to suffice your requirements so just stay here for the time being."

"Sure, just be safe and cautious."

"See you late-" While I was about to bid farewell, my eyes catch a glimpse of Ciel, looking in some other direction. That brat.

"So, he's here!" Kuro responds while getting cautious of Ciel…or resuming his pretend game, to be precise.

Ciel notices us and quickly runs to my side.

"I-It's been a l-long time, Mom…", scratching the back of his head in nervousness, he keeps wiggling his eyeballs away from me.

"So…? Where were you?" I ask him with straight eyebrows.

"T-that, I was in the right direction but then something happened and I-" He makes different gestures with his hands and expressions trying to explain his situation…Well, he doesn't seem to be lying.

"Fine, we are already getting late…"

"Yeah, let's get our carriage from the old man." He said while turning towards the other side of the shop.

"No need for that…I already had him get all the preparations done beforehand." Aren't I smart now? Even Kuromi is looking at me in surprise.

"So, what were you thinking when you hurried me to such an extent? Do you know how much I had to go through because of that?" He shouts at me in anger…is this what they call teenage rebellion.?

"No, I just wanted you to reach their first since I had some other work to get done and you just won't go away so, had to twist some words." That sums it up…for him.

He sighs with all his breath. What else can he even do right now?

We walk to the end of the road, connecting the market to the traveling routes, after bidding farewell to Kuromi. We finally reach the location of the carriage, standing at the corner of the lane.

An old man bows down to me as he carries our things to keep as luggage. We have nothing to take there basically, so without any further delay, both of us sit inside the carriage and begin our journey to the capital.
