Power of a demon / Becoming a Leader

Families that I had contracted with started becoming cooperative . And for some reason they called me boss or leader and started calling me lord Reed. I had established the trade center and the first thing I decided to head to the dwargon kingdom to make a trade deal with their kingdom.

As I was getting ready, I was approached by my brother Rowan approached me .

Rowan> Hey reed, I feel like its injustice to you that I am the next head of our family, would you like for me to tell father so that he gives you equal chance to compete with me

Me> no , I don't want that after all you're already deserving to lead the family and since you're a hero candidate as well.

I didn't tell him that I didn't want any other responsibility apart from the one that I got without even thinking much.

I head to dwargon kingdom and their king also an hero was quite a chill dude to me probably because I was a son of a hero. It was slightly nepotism, but I did manage to make him use our trade center to trade. When I was returning home , I saw the elf hybrid kid that was running away from the forest that was connected to area elves live , I stopped him why was he running .He told me he was going to ask for help to other families on his own to stop a demon cause the elves are too prideful to ask help. So, I decided to go there and help them. It was a giant bull monster with flames coming out of its body. I hadn't had the chance to use my powers since I became a great demon, so I launched a swing at the demon cutting it , but the demon tried to nuke himself. 

So, I tried to absorb using predator. But it didn't work.

*Notice: Master has a skill stored inside himself , combining it with predator might be able to make master be able to consume the monster explosion.

> Then do it.

*Process: The unique skill starved that was inside master's core has been merged with predator. Evolving predator into the unique skill Gluttony. 

Then I used gluttony to absorb the monster before it exploded.

The elves thanked me and were ashamed that their pride almost cost them their homes and the next day even the elves decided to get more open and start calling them my subordinates.

Then after few months busy in paperwork and business work, I decide to enter a S rank dungeon by myself

From what I knew that S rank dungeons are usually dealt by subordinates of demon lords.

The boss of the dungeon was a undead dragon like being, first I thought of using gluttony to try to consume the dragon but then thought that would be boring, so I ran up and punched the dragon sending it flying to the edge of the dungeon cave.

The dragon returned to me and launched a huge wave of blue flames from its mouth which straight up hit me. But it didn't do anything

Notice: Master has gained high flame resistance from absorbing the flame bull monster a few months ago.

I smile and then start beating the hell out of the dragon and absorbed it using gluttony.

So, this is the power of a greater demon huh , I wonder how long it will take for me to become an archdemon.

Once I heard a tournament happening , held by the demon lords where they allow some of their subordinates and some participates to participate in a contest with a prize of a legendary sword to a winner and the opportunity to work under one of the demon lords. Though I don't care about the latter part, achieving a legendary sword might be cool. I might even be able to meet Elysa who is being trained by my demon lord milim, ramiris and storm dragon veldora .

Though I am just a Greater demon which should not be that much of a big deal. The only big deal is how young of a greater demon I am . But I have realized that I am stronger than a typical greater demon . 

Then I went to the place of the tournament. I saw quite a lot of people for the people in the tournament. Though they were great in number the quantity wasn't much it seems that stronger of the subordinates of demon lords were sitting in background cause to make things interesting.

Though it would've been better to fight stronger subordinates. I wonder. Then one of the main reasons I participated in the tournament appears.

Apart from the seat with the demon lords there is an area of VIP nearer to the stadium where Elysa came to sit and watch the stadium. It's been more than a year since I saw her. She had become more beautiful. with white hair and crystal blue eyes. It did also seem that she had gotten slightly taller. I had heard that she had become quite powerful compared to the demon lords under training of demon lord milim and veldora. 

The notice changed that the battle had to end quickly , so the event was changed to be one battle each to reduce the size and have a battle royale.

After a few matches , it was my fight, my opponent was a beastman named Pablo who from what I heard from others was the younger brother of phobia of the Three Beastketeers serving demon lord Carrion.

People seemed to be sad for whoever was supposed to face him, but when I appeared in the stadium the audience seemed to know me

Random Npc> Hey isn't that the kid of the flame hero

npc 2> yeah, the same one that started the huge business of that region with the trade center with families of that area.

They seemed to be shocked that a kid who has so much potential in business was wasting his time and were blabbering about me being unlucky to fight Pablo.

But in the mid of the public talk, I heard a loud voice of Elysa

Elysa> Reed wow you're here, I missed you so much . Don't push yourself too much ok and let's meet after you win the tournament, ok? Best of luck. Then gave a flying kiss.

I was quite shocked and even blushed once that she threw out a flying kiss but was also happy that she hadn't changed and her trust in me was like it was back then. With confidence I got ready to fight. Pablo threw out a punch to knock me out, but I instantly evaded it then he seemed frustrated and seemed went all out and tried to attack me . I conjured darkness in my hand and launched a punch which he blocked but the force of the attack sent him flying and he crashed on the edge of the arena knocked out. I didn't know it was going to be that easy.

Then after all the other matches it was time for battle royale. For some reason I saw everyone looking at me.

*Notice: Most of the fighters are looking at master with jealousy and anger.

Apparently , they were jealous that the Ice queen(Elysa's nickname for people) gave me attention. It shocked me how simple minded some people can be.

Me> Fine come and fight me all at once. 

Then all of them charged at me. I brought out my blade and swarmed at them, managing to cut a few . Though they swarmed me none of them were fast enough to catch me . Some launched flames towards me , which I let hit me because I was resistant to it. I absorbed other attacks using gluttony. and also launched a few attacks of my own like blue flames, purple lightning and other elemental attacks.

In a matter of moments, I defeated them and one remaining person who launched a demonic curse at me was shocked to see it didn't work.

I smirked and revealed that I am a newly awakened demon, a greater demon if you may.

They couldn't believe that after all I was quite young to be a greater demon, and greater demons aren't very powerful .

Then I took the legendary sword and as I went to talk to Elysa , she immediately left with demon lord milim and promised that she would come to meet me soon. 

I returned home and it seemed that the leaders of the families including my father and brother were discussing something.

It seemed that the territory had become more powerful and so they were deciding on creating the territory into an official state with governments led by the families and the trade business be an official part of the nation. They also decided to make me the central figure of the nation. Basically, making me the chancellor of the territory because I was the one who led the families coming together to form a system. I accepted because I couldn't say no, especially in front of these guys including my father and brother who were looking at me with so much trust . So, officially form the nation Pheonix Federation, with me the youngest chancellor in history. So, I started becoming busy signing papers, and so on and meeting with the leaders who allied with us like Dwargon king, hero Owen.

Then an Adventurer's party led by Youm come to our nation to talk to us fight with my brother , a potential hero candidate though my brother easily beats them. If I had to say I am closer to my brother's level of power. Though it seemed strange my brother who has defeated archdemons and me as a greater demon is closer to his level.

Youm revealed that people are quite people are worrisome about my post as the chancellor of the nation despite being me the son of the flame hero because of me being a demon that I revealed in the demon lord's tournament. So, I use Youm to spread the news that I am a cool dude and so on . Also the master of oni family ,the kijin named hakuro took Youm under his wing and training him.

I also became friends with fuze a guild master of Blumund and tried to make Blumund ally nation through him .
