Chapter 2: Weird facts

KENDALL 'S POV -

Darkness was all around me. As far as my eyes would go that's all they came in contact with. I begged for the light to come but it wasn't to be found anywhere.

So, with whatever energy I had left, I got out of that place and found myself lying in the same position with the other's attentions focused on the newcomer.

Had I fainted for a few seconds and no one noticed ?

"Sis. Wake up", the boy urged Samarah again. There was a hint of desperation in his voice. The vampire king took a step forward thus leaving him little space between Samarah and the new guy.

Placing both his hands on the newcomer's shoulders, the king said to him," Finally, we found her, son."and hugged him tight. The newcomer glanced towards Damon and said," Brother is here too. "

SAMARAH'S POV -

I felt the tendrils seeping into my mouth and eyes suddenly loosen their grip and back away. I felt confused. They had always wanted me ... Why back out when they finally have me?

I heard faint whispers beckoning me. I had never heard the voice before in my life but yet it instilled a sense of familiarity in me.

Forgetting about the dark, I slowly inched towards the familiar yet unfamiliar voice and was met with blinding light for a second. Upon readjusting, my eyes spotted the familiar vampire king and a young man kneeling beside me. "Sis, are you fine?" , the blue eyed man asked me.

"Yeah but sis?", my brain felt so fogged up that I couldn't even form a complete sentence. I just gazed confusedly at the guy He had the king's eyes and charming dimples. But he was more muscular with tan skin and black hair. I snuggled into the comforting arms of Damon clutching me protectively.

"Kha kha khaaaa ...aughh", Miranda shot up groaning and coughing.

All eyes turned towards her and the new guy went to help her sit up. "Are you ok?", he asked Miranda.

" I think so.", Miranda's words came out raspy.

" I am so sorry.", Kendall's voice cracked. " I am so so sorry.... I never even imagined these things to happen in my worst nightmare...." , her voice broke.

Miranda managed to get to her feet and scrambled towards Kendall, just hugging her tight.

I followed suit.

" Kendall.... Damon.... I never knew she would do such a thing. I would have done something had I been aware of her devious plans. I am sorry for all you had to go through. Especially my dear daughter Samarah."

All of us looked confused at the vampire king.

" What the hell now?!", I almost chocked. Meanwhile Damon looked like he had smelled garlic.

" Unfortunately, I was bewitched by Harper's charms....a long time ago . And that one time resulted in two of the most powerful beings being born....which was as good as treason during that time. However, we didn't want to leave the childern for a terrible fate. So, I decided to take Chris here and Harper took Samarah....to protect. We decided to never speak a word of this to anyone and raise our children in secret. However, as I watched Damon grow up, I felt a tinge of guilt. Everytime, Damon came back from school, or won some prize, my heart ached to know about my daughter. Even, Chris I kept close to me most times by disguising him but Samarah was lost to me. I even begged Harper to just let me look at her, from a distance but she refused. Aching for my long lost daughter, I decided to search for my daughter. Even if it meant an eternity of search. Damon being blessed with guardian abilities was instantly my first choice for the mission. But unfortunately since I couldn't reveal to him all of this at once, I set him on a trail of finding mixedbloods, totally aware the he wouldn't go around hurting innocent beings just for not being a pureblood. I kept close track of all his missions and found that he had been moving the mixedbloods to some other place. Finally, uncovering the coordinates of his precious village I came across you in the process."

I looked at Damon and gasped," That can't be...... That would mean that we are half siblings. How can I trust you?", I pointedly looked at the ash king. My supposed father now.

" You know you recognised me today. I can tell that you feel it in your blood." , the king replied smoothly and warmly.

I couldn't deny what I had felt earlier. But then what about me and Damon.

" As of Damon and you, since you guys are already bonded it can't be helped. Anyways it's allowed in the royal family.", the king added at the end.

" I think I am going to faint this time.", Damon's faint voice could be heard.

" I hate to cut the reunion short but what was this prophecy Harper talked about. " , Ken's voice questioned.
