Because it was a mass-produced plastic kids toy!

No matter how hard he tried, it did not bring forth any hypnotizing tunes.

The children around him didn't even notice!

Mother Anne:"Wow! what a surprise!"

Nokken:"!?"

Mother Anne:"You seem to know how to play the violin!"

Eri:"Cool!"

Nokken:(How did you figure, given that horrendous scratching?)

Mother Anne:"How did you know how to play?"

Nokken:"*Sigh* I had a real violin."
