THE NINTH HERO

In the enigmatic realm of Pandora, a world teeming with mystical beings, including dragons, elves, dwarfs, beasts, and humans, a malevolent force rises. Known as the Demon Emperor, his insatiable thirst for power drives him to conquer and annihilate the peaceful races that inhabit Pandora. Countless lives have been claimed in the wake of his destructive reign, plunging the realm into fear and despair. Amidst this darkness, a figure of immense authority and benevolence emerges—the Supreme Goddess Rebecca, the ruler and deity of Pandora. Recognizing the imminent peril faced by her cherished races, she and her divine counterparts decide to summon eight exceptional individuals from another world to aid in their struggle against the Demon Emperor's tyranny. But destiny takes a cryptic turn when Karna, a seemingly ordinary 21-year-old boy, is unwittingly entangled in a summoning ritual. Lacking the extraordinary talents of the chosen ones, Karna's presence in Pandora becomes a perplexing anomaly—a result of an unforeseen glitch in the summoning magic circle. Initially sympathetic to Karna's plight, the Supreme Goddess agrees to return him to his own world. But her compassion swiftly transforms into ruthless disdain, banishing him to Pandora with a cruel declaration that his insignificant existence is unworthy of her divine attention. Sympathetic to Karna's, another goddess extends her compassion to him, unknowingly bestowing upon him a gift far more powerful than one could imagine. In a realm where swords clash and magic weaves its intricate dance, where adventures paint the landscape with both heroism and treachery, the saga of the legendary ninth hero is poised to unfold. Follow Karna on his transformative journey across Pandora as he seeks to unravel the veiled mysteries lurking beneath the sea of conspiracies. Will he find his way back to his roots? Will vengeance course through his veins, or will he triumph over the relentless dangers of Pandora? Only time will unveil the answers to this epic odyssey.   ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapters per week: 4 Note: This story won't have any harem in the first hundred chapters, and I am also not going to just throw females at the MC; there is going to be a proper plot for each of them. Chapter-24 A Nightmare in Reality [Part-2]

As Karna heard the chilling screeching sound of the monster's blades increasing, his heart pounded in his chest. The sound was different then before it was like....

'Fuck! It is trying to climb through the tunnel!!' Realising this, Karna was about to get up to run when he heard another sound.

This time the sound was louder, like something crumbling and rocks breaking and falling. And following that, another sound came, filled with the roar of the horrifying monster.

Its screeching roar echoed in the tunnel before the heavy footsteps of the monster again could be heard, and soon they disappeared, just like they had come in the first place.

Karna's heart raced as he listened to the chaotic sounds echoing through the tunnel. The crumbling rocks and falling debris created a cacophony that was abruptly interrupted by the thunderous roar of the monster. The intensity of the creature's vocalization sent chills down Karna's spine, his body instinctively tensing up in response.

As the monster's roar faded into the distance, replaced by the fading echoes of its heavy footsteps, Karna's grip on the mana crystal tightened. Relief washed over him, mixed with a sense of gratitude for escaping the creature's attention.

He let out a slow exhale, realizing he had been holding his breath throughout the encounter.

But even after that, Karna kept sitting still on the ground for a while. He didn't move and just kept staring at the entrance of the vertical tunnel.

'There is no way I am buying this shit; in the movies, the monsters always suddenly come back whenever one tries to check.'

'Oh Hell No' Thinking this, Karna asked the system, 'Did you get its information?'

[Yes, Host.] The system responded in the same emotionless voice.

'Show me; I want to see what and who this abomination was.'

Hearing his command, the system displayed information about the creature in front of Karna.

------------------------------------

Demonic Deviation: It is a hybrid type of monster that is born by devouring demonic blood. When a normal monster devours a demon, their bloodline gets tainted with the blood of the demon, due to which they either die or become hybrids. This demonic creature typically inhabits dank, gloomy environments where it located its target through any sounds they make. Due to the demonic blood, its mana core got contaminated and has cracked.

Physical level:

Level: 16

HP: 4000

MP: 100↓ (1000)

Strength: 70

Agility: 55

Vitality: 55

Sense: 20

Intelligence: 10

------------------------------------

After seeing the statistics, Karna understood what kind of horror he had just encountered. Physically, the monster was even more powerful than Turukhan, a demon. Karna was even sure that the demon would be easily overwhelmed with just these 110 stats of strength and agility, even though its intelligence and senses were inferior to the demon.

Sighing in relief and hoping that the monster truly must have left, he once again read the description of the creature.

Karna continued to wait, and only after he genuinely thought that the monster must have truly left did he slowly crawl towards the vertical tunnel.

Reaching the edge of the vertical tunnel, Karna hesitantly peered from the edge. The creature had truly left; on the ground of the lower tunnel was some debris of broken rock from the vertical tunnel. The two mana crystals were still present on the ground.

Sighing, He slowly looked around himself and then asked the system if there was another way or tunnel that he could use to get out of this place.

But the system's response only made him dejected. Unfortunately this was the only way for him to get out of here.

He clenched his fist and slowly started to climb downward through the vertical tunnel.

Every time he used his fingers to hold on to the cracks in the walls, his fingers would hurt like hell and make him want to moan in pain, but he didn't in fear of the demonic creature.

Slowly and carefully, he soon reached the bottom part of the vertical tunnel, hovering while holding on to the lower part of the tunnel, and then he jumped.

Landing on the ground on all four of his limbs, thinking that it might decrease the sound created by his fall, and fortuitously, he was successful in doing so. As he got up from the ground and looked around himself hurriedly.

Finding himself all alone in the dark tunnel, he sighed in relief, and then he also realised what must have happened to make that creature leave.

The monster must have tried to climb through the vertical tunnel, but due to lots of cracks on the tunnel walls, one side of the veritical tunnel collapsed upon it. Due to this, it didn't tried to climb the second time and had left in irritation.

'So that was the point of the roar; it was angry and maybe even hurt.'

'Well, like I care.' Thinking this through, Karna hurriedly picked up the two mana crystals from the ground and left.

This time he walked faster than he could; he didn't even care about how much his legs hurt or how much he was conserving energy.

He ran without any care for the hunger and thirst he was feeling. The only thought in his mind was to get out of here as fast as he could.

Meanwhile, in Kraetor, the capital city of Ellylon,

The capital city of Kraetor was one of the biggest cities in the kingdom. The city of Kraetor was built amidst the swaying grasses of a windy meadow and is truly a future-oriented marvel. The large city was surrounded by tall city walls whose grace was matched by the backdrop of grand forests, which have helped shape the city into what it is today. A river was flowing from the woods and entering the city through a steel-bar gateway under the stone wall.

There were two gateways to enter the city, which were located to the north and south of the city. On the city walls, patrolling the ramparts, were soldiers in grey armour.

On the other side of the 20-foot walls of the city, the bustling capital lay bare to one's eyes. Riddled with buildings that were made by using the resources from the forest, the vast majority of them were built with wood and stones.

Parks and gardens were flourishing in Kraetor. The city streets were sprawled with humans in clothes that looked to be from the Renaissance period; there were many shops hawking different stuff like vegetables, fruits, herbs, cloths, artefacts, weapons, and armour. There were also many bars, cafés, and restaurants offering a plethora of culinary choices.

In the whole city, there were two buildings that stood the tallest and most grand of all; both were located in the central area of the city; one was called the Royal Academy, and the other was the Royal Palace of Ellylon.

It was a giant marble palace. It was a grandiose building with gold and silver extravagantly plastered on it, yet the overall look was very pristine and elegant. There were large white banners hung on the palace walls with the symbol of a red dragon breathing fire.

Inside one of the hallways of the royal palace, two figures of beautiful women were elegantly walking, surrounded by six armoured knights. The two figures were Miyuki and Sophia. Both looked the same as before—young and beautiful—but their attires were different from back then. Miyuki and Sophia both wore Knee high and shoulder cut beautiful dresses with loose kimono sleeves; Miyuki's dress was black, while Sophia's was blue.

Soon they stopped in front of a large door, and the two guards standing beside the door bowed towards both girls before opening the door.

With a loud sound, the door split open, and the two girls stepped forward to enter. And with them entering, the door shut again, leaving the knights guarding the girls behind.

Inside the large, majestic room that was decorated and furnished with gold, silver, and many other unknown precious materials, the two girls looked towards the large table with many scrolls and papers placed on it.

The chair behind the table was empty. And behind the chair on the wall was a large painting of a blond-haired, black-eyed, handsome-looking man wearing royal attire, and beside him stood a beautiful red-haired woman with blue eyes and a loving smile, wearing a royal blue dress. Both stood majestically together while holding their hands.

As they were staring at the painting, a person entered the room through the opened balcony door. It was a woman dressed in a gorgeous-looking dress that showed off her perfectly developed figure. The woman had a tall stature, light blond hair, and pearly blue eyes. Her face was so flawless and beautiful that one could just keep staring at her. She had this mature aura around her, even when she looked no older than a woman in her mid-20s.

Upon seeing the two girls staring at the painting, she fake coughed to catch their attention.

"Ahem! Saviour Miyuki and Saviour Sophia, I hope both of you are doing great."

Both girls, hearing the voice, turned towards the owner of the voice and then bowed.

"Yes, your Majesty."

The woman in front of them was the Queen of Ellylon, Aria Von Stan. She was the first female and the youngest ruler in the history of the Ellylon Kingdom. Born with high-level talent and high-level mana affinity. She reached the Aura Master realm at the age of 25.
