When there was a huge explosion in the main square, people caught in the middle of the chaos were scrambling to get away and trying to escape.
They saw two people fighting so violently that people who had never seen such a battle before could not help being amazed.
Cars were smashed, roads were cratered and windows of buildings were shattered. The whole place was on fire. The aura and pressure was so strong that some people could not stand it and vomited blood and fainted.
They also saw a black panther and a black raven fighting to stop a strange beast they had never seen before.
"Cale, come back to us! Our master offers you a chance to be forgiven!"
Cale raised his arms to protect himself from the kick. He coughed up blood as he was dragged backwards by the force and a huge crater opened in the ground.
Blood from his head covered his face and his right arm was deeply wounded. Cale noticed that his wounds did not heal even though he was constantly circulating chaos energy through his mana meridians. This showed him that chaos does not heal a wound from chaos energy.
"How can you use chaos energy, how can you use it even though it is imperfect?" he asked, ignoring his words.
"No one else has ever seen the success the Doctor has had with you. I can tell you are very disappointed," he said, pressing his lips together. "But he developed a new method."
The man with the scarred face took a box out of his pocket. He held a black pill between his index and thumb and held it up at eye level. "And it works quite well."
"This is our miracle," he said and popped it into his mouth. Cale's eyes flickered as black veins appeared on the scarred man's skin and the chaos energy around him turned darker and stickier.
Cale knew he was strong compared to his peers at the academy, but he had to admit that this man was way above his level. It was a great achievement for him to have lasted this long. Anyone else would have been dead or badly wounded in the first attack.
Cale now saw with his own eyes that the chaos energy was doing here what it had done in the abandoned land. As soon as the chaos energy surged and exploded, it began to engulf everything around it.
Trees planted along the roadside dried up in seconds. Roads and buildings were surrounded by black and red veins, as if they had come to life after the black, sticky liquid merged with them, creating a grotesque scene.
Some people who tried to escape, the chaos energy touched them and formed black veins on their skin and entered their bodies. Within seconds, the chaos energy reached their brains and began to drive them mad and make them aggressive.
"How are you going to deal with this?" he laughed. When he said, "Cale, if you have power, you have to pay the price," his attention was suddenly diverted. It was as if someone was talking to him and he gave his full attention to it. Whatever he heard, he didn't seem to like what he heard. His eyes filled with madness as he turned his gaze to Cale.
"Well, it looks like this concludes our conversation for today. Goodbye for now, old friend" and disappeared like a mirage.
When Cale looked around and heightened his senses, he realized he could no longer feel it.
When Cale looked around and heightened his senses, he realized he could no longer feel him. He gave up looking for him for now as he had a more pressing problem ahead of him.
When Cale saw how the crazed people were attacking others, he didn't wait any longer. He put his hand on the ground and began to draw the dispersed chaos energy into his own body.
His struggle with Chaos was, as always, a matter of will. It was a clash of two wills and the victor would prevail.
His right hand, previously severed and regenerated from chaos energy, turned completely black. The chaos energy, cloudy and viscous, surged through the air and refused to come, but was forced to yield to Cale's will.
The monarch aura that Cale used without realizing it had a lot to do with it. It was an aura that reigned over everything around him. It contained fear, trust and dominance.
That's why, as soon as it emanated from Cale, it was reminiscent of a ruler who made other creatures feel that they would protect themselves while the chaos energy feared him.
The black liquid that clung to buildings and roads entered Cale's veins. When the chaos energy that had dried up the trees left him, they quickly flourished again. Cale accepted the chaos energy into his body as it rushed towards him to attack him as the power that had driven people mad came out of them and caused them to pass out.
He continued to manipulate the energy flowing through his meridians, tearing them apart. He held on to his will as he was shaken by a pain so great that it burned every cell and drove him mad.
Not even a moan escaped Cale's mouth as his muscles continued to swell and his black veins became prominent, despite the pain.
As Cale began to purify the chaos energy, the black glowing energy became even brighter, as if there were galaxies around him. The black crescent on his forehead burned brightly, trapping all the energy inside. Cale opened his eyes as the energy crackling and rippling in the air became smaller and smaller and entered the chaos core in his forehead.
When it was all over, he was left with burning buildings, cars and people unconscious and stunned.
Cale moaned as he staggered tiredly to his feet. When he checked his body, he saw that he had deep and large wounds in most parts of his body. He tried to heal them with Chaos energy, but the healing was too slow.
He was covered in blood. But he could not stay here any longer. Something big had happened and he knew the hunters would be here soon. Although they were unconscious for the moment, there were too many witnesses.
Still, Cale preferred to go back to the hotel rather than deal with them for now. He had to heal his wounds first. He would deal with the problems later.
As Cale left, he looked at his right hand. It was still black. He thought it would be back to normal by now, but maybe, like his wounds, it would return more slowly than normal.
So he went into one of the crumbling buildings, which was a clothing store. After looking around a bit, he saw a beautiful black leather glove. Cale smiled when he saw the small raven pattern on the wrist of the glove.
"It will almost become my symbol," he muttered.
When he put the gloves on his hands and left the store again, he sighed at the apocalyptic scene. It was as if ashes were falling from the sky. Cale groaned and grabbed his aching head as the image suddenly changed to show a burning building in a forest. When he closed and opened his eyes, the image disappeared. Uncomfortable staying here any longer, he turned to go back to the hotel.
His wounds were so bad that he couldn't use his void steps, which helped him cover even long distances. He felt as if the chaos energy was preventing him from healing.
He moved slowly through the alleyways without being seen by anyone. As soon as he entered the garden of the hotel, he could see every eye turning towards him. He could hear whispers as he entered the door of the hotel.
Surprised, scornful, mocking...
He had to find a potion that would cure him, regardless of all this. Every time he took a step the floor was soiled with his blood.
Cale saw Damien looking at him. His blue eyes were staring at him with great surprise. It was as if it was the first time he had ever seen someone bleed so much. His blue eyes were shaking.
"What happened to him?"
"Are they blood?"
"I'm sure the task he was given wasn't difficult because of his low rank."
"To come close to death on such a simple mission... What a fool!"
"He looks really weak."
"Did he really beat up Nevil and Terry's henchmen?"
"Look, that must be a lie!"
"Do you think he'll die?"
"He'd better die. At least the world would be rid of a freak."
Cale got in the elevator. He pressed the button for the third floor. When the elevator stopped at the third floor, he got off. His vision occasionally darkened. His breathing was heavy. He had lost a lot of blood.
His senses were diminishing. He had to get well before people started flocking to him. He had to find the potions he had taken earlier in his room.
'I have to go to my room'
When "Cale" looked where the voice came from, he saw four bewildered eyes staring at him. They looked too stunned to speak. When Cale finally lost consciousness and fell to the ground, the last thing he saw before his eyes closed was four people running towards him.
